Great effort by P1440 to promote NCAA-BVB. Hopefully you guys have better WI-FI down there then last spring in Malibu. Good luck!

Any feedback? I'm onsite and can pass messages.. Lexy Denaburg/Lindsey Sparks looked great at the #1s so far.

I had really good streaming on all 3 courts. Really good commentators also. UCLA looks best as usual, Cal Poly looks as good as last year, perhaps the shocker for me was that Mayer has improved LMU's program so much and really looked good in defeating Poly. The transfers Mayer picked up this year must have really helped the LMU program. There was also a freshman they had playing with a grad transfer in 1's or 2's who lost but looked good against Lilly Justine.

Ps. RobOnTheMic, thanks for the heads up on this event! Were you announcing on court 1 with the girl who is a 1440 prospect?

with a grad transfer in 1's or 2's who lost but looked good against Lilly Justine. We now know how good Sponcil is. The question will be... can Justine keep her #2 pairs position without Sponcil, and if not, where will she play? I'm not trying to be an A$$, but I could never figure out why she was Sponcil's partner. With the UCLA bigs Newberry and Denaburg that come in this year, and with Van Winkle showing how good she is at AVP Seattle, and with how well Yeomans performed at the NCAAs, and with a returning Monkhouse, will Justine go down to 4s or 5s?

Ps. RobOnTheMic, thanks for the heads up on this event! Were you announcing on court 1 with the girl who is a 1440 prospect? Yeah, I was on Court 1 (for the #1/#2s) with Jae Visscher who is in the p1440 Development program. She played at Stetson last year and is a Canadian. LMUs #1 pair of Darby Dunn (Graduate Student) with the freshman, Georgia Fusco (San Rafael, CA) have great potential, but UCLA and Cal Poly exploited her youth and inexperience. She's a great defender but was having difficulty putting the ball away on longer rallies. Cal Poly's #1s (Reka Orsi-Toth (Jr. Rome, ITA) / Selina Marolf (Jr. Bern, Switzerland)). Reka had quite a whip of an arm, dug/scrambled for balls and had fast feet. Here were the scores I had on my Court 1 matches: 9:00 am #2s | UCLA (Lily Justine/Megan Muret) vs. LMU (Darby Dunn/Georgia Fusco) - UCLA 2-0 (21-15, 21-14) 10:00 am #1s | UCLA (Lexy Denaburg/Lindsey Spakrs) vs. LMU (Reka Orsi-Toth/Selina Marolf) - UCLA 2-0 (21-18, 21-19) 11:00 am #2s | LMU (Darby Dunn/Georgia Fusco) vs. Cal Poly (Jayelin Lombard/Macy Gordon) - Cal Poly 2-0 (21-13, 21-19) 12:00 pm #1s | LMU (Reka Orsi-Toth/Selina Marolf) vs. Cal Poly (Emily Sonny/Tia Miric) - LMU 2-0 (22-20, 21-18) 1:30 pm #2s | UCLA (Lea Monkhouse/Abby Van Winkle) vs. Cal Poly (Jayelin Lombard/Macy Gordon) - Cal Poly 2-1 (21-18, 19-21, 15-10) 3:00 pm #1s | UCLA (Lexy Denaburg/Lindsey Sparks) vs. Cal Poly (Emily Sonny/Tia Miric) - Cal Poly 2-1 (15-21, 21-15, 15-10)
