I have to work on Friday, my company doesn't believe in time off. Hopefully you can have a scrumptious Thanksgiving Day dinner with family and friends ...

Hopefully you can have a scrumptious Thanksgiving Day dinner with family and friends ... I doubt it will look that picturesque. There's an entire industry of food stagers for photos. They're deceptive little bastards. In this photo, It's hard to know if those perfect looking turkey breast slices came from the same turkey that's on the platter. It looks like that turkey hasn't been cut yet. And why is there nicely cooked cranberry sauce, but yet there are some random uncooked cranberries scattered about? And, sorry, but asparagus & sweet potatoes? Thanksgiving is mashed potatoes and green beans. Period. Sure, the sweet potatoes lend more color to the scene and asparagus are hip, but, as the president would say, Bullsh*t. And, off to the right side, slightly obscured, are those brussell sprouts? Krikey. And, I can't say for sure, but that looks like a 3-tined fork. Those should be illegal at all times, not just Thanksgiving. Now maybe it's part of a slicing set, so that might be tolerable. And that looks like basil atop the stuffing, not rosemary. Again, BS. The stuffing, by the way, looks too dry.

Asparagus is hip?
I love, love, love asparagus, but being such a big fan of it, I know it is a springtime food. If you see it now, it is either way out of season or it has come from a long way away.
Maybe more to the point, that doesn't look like asparagus in that picture anyway.
There is definitely rosemary in the picture. The fork has two tines. And that's not basil. Pretty sure it is sage.

Well, I've begun testing the Thanksgiving wine, so I can't be responsible for errors. (I actually started the testing due to an emergency. The emergency happened to be the midway point of set 4 of the UW/Cal match. We're going to need more wine.)

They are green beans. But, I love asparagus as well.

Almost every Thanksgiving since I've been a kid:
Great! Four days off from school/work! I'm going to do so much stuff!
Thurs: Well, it's Thanksgiving. Obviously not doing stuff today. I have three more days. Fri: A day to relax after Thanksgiving. Eat leftovers. Sleep. Etc. Sat: Hmmm. Still haven't done all that stuff. I'll do a tiny bit of it, but there's always tomorrow. Sun: Don't feel like doing stuff. In fact, it's been so many days since I did stuff that I forget how to do stuff. Mon: Oh crap.

FYI, Honeybaked Ham makes a delicious pre-baked turkey. It comes frozen, thaw it, warm in the oven for 1.5-2 hours. It was REALLY good.
