Is it the same as the indoor court, or are the sand courts a bit smaller?

I looked up the AVP courtsize after your post and saw it was 8x16m so I thought I was losing my mind. Always thought it was the same size...of course its been 20+ years since I played on a sand court. All this because I read on the college sand vb webpage that the sand court is a bit smaller than the indoor court. Times have changed! Thanks on BC...Opus is the best!

Actually, I may have just learned something. Our backyard sand court has adjustable lines, so I always set them back to the old school 30' x 30' when we are playing 3's or 4's, but I knew that 8 meters by 8 meters is the norm for 2's. In fact, do you remember how that was one of the big bones of contention between Karch (who wanted to keep the big court size) and Sinjin? Anyway, what I did not know that the indoor court size is 9 meters by 9 meters. I have always been under the impression that indoor courts are 30' by 30'? I realize that the difference is fairly nominal (9 meters equals 29.52 feet), but have I really gone through life not knowing that the standard indoor court dimensions have changed?

PS - it really was a pretty drastic change back in the day - to go from each side being 30' x 30' to being only a bit over 26' x 26' was a pretty major difference. Think about jump serving - that's an extra 8 feet you used to have to try and really bang a jumper!
