You Hawaii fans are kidding yourselves. Huskers will sweep.

random tangent: the Devaney has two US flags displayed, a larger one on the wall above the suites on the R1 side of the court, and a smaller one in an opposite corner. Being in a seat on the R1/suite side, I was a bit confused as to if the proper protocol during the Anthem was to face the smaller flag, or to turn around (with my back to the court) to face the larger flag.

Mizzou very impressive in first round, but lack of height at one OS may create liabilities in some rotations.
Huskers had some issues early, but then played well. They had a height advantage and exploited it; very high hitting percentage. They also had a good passing game; if they can keep that up tough to beat because they have multiple option offense.
GBR!

Mizzou in the 2nd round for the #5 team is yikes. #11 is playing Towson. It is kinda wild. Minnesota as the 7 has a tough matchup with Creighton. Wisconsin has UCLA. Baylor and USC. Some pretty good matchups in the second round.

I thought offensively... Nebraska looked legit last night. Excellent tempo and incredible performance choices by all the pins and middles.
Callie needs to make better blocking choices, as does Lauren... too late to the pins too often. Setters seem too effective offensively on us as well.
Serve receive still subpar. Hoping for a breakthrough in this area tonight.

My head says Nebraska will take this match.
My heart says Coach Handsome will lead his team to victory.

Yes..... so hesitating and arriving late and getting tooled and not honoring a setter is the new "strategy " Nice.... lol Ball St ran a 6-2. All setter dumps were by back row players below the plane of the net. That setter dump is the responsibility of right and left back base players. Not honoring the setter as a MB in a 6-2 would be every coach on the planets strategy. Ball st dumped the ball a lot in that game, and it sounds like you didn’t notice that not once did a mb jump and challenge. As Nebraska is consistently one of the best block/D teams in the country, they are either really poorly coached and didn’t make an adjustment, or really well coached in knowing their responsibilities. This of course is specifically why blockers communicate before plays if the setter is front row or back row so as to identify who has setter dump. Setter dump responsibility is volleyball 101, you can of course lol all you like.

Man it is so much fun having u guys and wisky In same region. I don’t have to do much. Just pick the side I’d feel more comfortable with my money. Wasn’t hard. I don’t care about reg season. Is also a little annoying that wisky fans think all their players should be nominated for awards every week. It’s on by special request. Nebraska is safe through regionals then I can make no such promises 😝

I’m still a little bit enamored with how nice UCSB’s system looked for a good portion of yesterday’s match. Totally had Texas on their heels. Sometimes I wish we ran a little bit faster but obviously that’s hard to sustain and we don’t have the passing for that this year.
