When everyone was mad that Illinois got in thinking that it would be an easy sweep for Utah and now looks at BYU. Illinois vs Utah was a lot more entertaining at least

Always pick the Utes in the holy war. Any sport. I wouldn’t call it holy...

My? And they still lost. Outlier. Even blind squirrels find nuts. Except you can't use the "they still lost" argument and meanwhile hype Illinois. ? UCSB: a bad team put together an outlier performance against a Texas team not taking them seriously, and still lost. Illinois: the #7 team in the B1G nearly beat the #3 team in the Pac-12, both of whom were Sweet Sixteen-quality teams that met too early. You're trying, but it ain't good.

Dang. That's destruction. BYU NEVER in it; never a moment of hope.

Huh? Utes lead the series by double and have won the last 9.

Illinois giving Utah a better fight, and they barely made it in, might be saying something about the B1G this year. Or could it be saying something about Utah's preparation and focus?
Like they are better prepared and focused on Saturdays vs Fridays?

Are we really using #7 as a data point in someone's favor? Wow so they did better than Rutgers, Maryland, Iowa, Indiana, Northwestern, Michigan State and Ohio State. There's no basis for saying Illinois was a Sweet Sixteen quality team except an opinion/eye test. Like according to what? And their almost beating Utah isn't any more impressive than almost beating Texas. For the record, I do think Illinois was talented and better than plenty of other teams in the tournament this year and would've beat a bunch in the first round. Just pointing out that inconsistency in your reasoning

All this bushwa aside it did get me to look at PAC 12 standings- after Stanford (18) the next 7 had 15,14,13,12,11,10, and 9 conference wins- I don't suppose that means anything but I like numbers.
