I believe the key for a USC victory tonight is Botkin. If she has a strong game, the Trojans pull the upset. Kahlia will get her swings, but she's bound to be the focus of Baylor's defenders. Waco is around 3 hours from Brook's stomping grounds, so I expect family and friends will be there for support. It will not be an easy match, but it certainly is winnable.

USC is more talented - but Baylor being the #1 seed this should be a good match up. I’d say USC in 4. If USC was more talented, why did they struggle so much this year? Raw talent means nothing if you can’t execute and be consistent. 8 letters. 1 word. Heard of the word “Injuries”?

SC isn't more talented. They have a glaring hole at Libero. LeGrand wouldn't even see the floor as a DS for Baylor and Adams is worse.

This match will either be a sweep by Baylor or USC wins. All season long USC has been banged up. IF Lanier and Botkin play well, Gross and LeGrand play solid ball for USC to win Lazaro must be at her free lance best and Botkin must show the form she had last season where she played at a All American level at times. I think you meant to say...

I really think that USC can do it tonight. They have the weapons to do it. The question is does the Baylor team that showed up in Waco verse Texas or the Baylor team that showed up in Austin. I live in Waco, so I will be attending the game. I am split on this one. I want Baylor to play well because I want the Big 12 to keep getting better, but I wouldn’t mind seeing Baylor lose because I think they are a one trick pony and are over ranked.

Isn't it a "trick pony"?
Or is that a "moo" point?

The disrespect for Baylor is mind boggling. Baylor is a much better team than USC. YSC will be lucky to win a set.

I have nothing against Baylor, but I hope Lanier's career doesn't end tonight.

That is a very good team.

Baylor has only lost one match the entire year for a reason... they know how to win. If they can beat Texas, Wisconsin, Marquette, Creighton, Hawaii, UCLA, and A&M (scrimmage in August), they should have no trouble with USC. Across the board Baylor is just better except Botkin is better than Milana.
