I think it's ridiculous that people are trying to make an argument that Hawai'i is coming into the match as an underdog. Hawai'i is no underdog. Hawai'i is a seed, playing on its home court against a team it already beat once this season. They have better RPI and are a higher rank team. So what makes them the underdog? Pablo? Massey? being the MWC champ? Give me a damn break. Hawaii's whole team (as Robyn referred to) has never been beaten this season. My thoughts exactly... unreal. This isn't 2017 and 2018 lol.

I'm really interested to see what lineup the coaches come up with. Can't wait to drop a set before we make changes. Need to start with our strongest group. Jolie on the right or left? Iosia for 3 or 6 rotations? Who lines up against Frohling? Iosia hits better than JR and Vig. Iosia sets better than Choy. For the record if Hawaii were a respected team like Barca, PSG, Man City, Liverpool, Juve, etc RAM would've been fired mid-season. The concept of fielding players who are significantly statistically worse because you relate to them better over other players doesn't exist in real sports, but if it did would be nipped in the bud before I ever had time to complain on a forum. And the TV commentators wouldn't be whitewashing the situation going along with this absurd dog and pony show. We are talking worse than Ulmer here, this is Sealy level nepotism now. I didn't create this ugliness but I have a duty to witness the truth. What? You're turning into the new Wahinefan. Nonsense, utter nonsense.

I thought Washington was going to destroy Hawaii during the first weekend, but it was Hawaii who manhandled Washington. So, yeah, anything can happen. But that was the beginning of the year when teams were just getting up to speed with their lineups and systems. In fact, I'd think that the team with more talent (Washington) would prevail because in August, everyone's figuring things out about their own teams but if you can touch 10'6" and bang, you don't need to "gel" at all. Just get the damn ball to the on-court talent.

For the Hawaii fans that doubt the ability of our beloved Wahine to beat the Sombreros, get off at the next station and don’t try to get back on the train on the way to Madison. Go back to San Diego with your team!

I think If San Diego wins first set, they will have the edge in winning the match. But if they lose first set, it’ll be next to impossible to successfully push that boulder up the hill. Home court advantage with all that fan support/pressure will make the difference for the Wahine down the stretch.
I’m pulling for SD, but respect to Hawaii for all achieved this season. Should be electric in Stan Sheriff tonight!

With Jolie’s ankle pain, Hawaii’ probably starts its 5’7”, 5’9” and 5’10” OHs. If they start looking very small defensively against USD’s long front row, I think Robyn will find a rotation to accommodate both Jolie and Hanna, and add a sprinkling of Wetserberg.

One thing UNC did very well was serve so close to the sidelines that it pressured UH receivers to make a quick decision on whether to take the ball or not. UH receivers had a lot of problems making that quick judgment on those balls. Often, the ball was shanked or just went down as an ace. Ah Mow and co should fix that. I thought a lot of those balls were going out but UH receivers all took those balls -- and really botched them.

I think we'll be fine if Ross is able to pass and score at a good clip. If she struggles, then all bets are off. Oh, and watch for those setter dumps by Newsome.
