SD had that knowledge for less than 24 hrs. Other than their memory of gameplanning for the first match of the year, they certainly didn't have time for specific preparation. Not that JR played that much anyway. Jennifer Petrie is six times WCC Coach of the Year. She couldn't prepare her team in under 24 hours for Rasmussen? A player they went five sets against earlier in the year, when she was completely healthy? Ok. She couldn't prepare them for any scenarios based on JR's usage, nor would she want to on short notice. Good coaches dont make major alterations on short notice. It screws up the team more often than not. Regardless, JR isn't why Hawaii won that match, so it's moot specific to SD's prep.

If Hawaii plays Nebraska how they played SD tonight Hawaii gets the W. SD took NEB to five and Hawaii will have the luxury of playing on a neutral site more than likely having fans root for Hawaii over Nebraska. a preseason match really doesn’t come into play now. As we all saw last night, San Diego got swept by a team they took to five in the exact same building. Not only that, but took them to five when Hawaii had JR full time, and when Frohling didn’t play a single point. Both of those points were used by some posters last night to try and rationalize why they thought San Diego would win, but they were swept. So my point is, bringing up SD taking Nebraska to five is irrelevant now. San Diego and Nebraska are completely different teams, so what worked against San Diego might not work against Nebraska

Nebraska is familiar with the Fieldhouse and playing in it so that will be another advantage for them.

Petrie couldn't prepare her players for Rasmussen being used as an opposite and a late sub, just as she was used the night before? Ok. And Rasmussen's four points and .600 hitting, blocking presence, and leadership were moot to Hawai'i and San Diego in the 3rd set, when San Diego was fighting for their season? Gotcha. But, Cook will have a whole week to hammer home to his players, who might in fact need that whole week, to prepare for that. Poor Nebraska, spending a whole week trying to prepare for that.

I can guarantee that the Wisconsin game management people will not be cool and let people in to watch this match after some of the Badger fans leave. It would be great and net more concession revenue, but it won't happen.

Hanna is listed at 6'2 but she's closer to 6'4 or 6'5

I’m sure Hawaii fans don’t want Michaela Foecke running in from the stands to give Nebraska a motivational pep talk should the Huskers find themselves down 2-1.

Does size matter? Starting five OHs, MBs and Opp for Hawaii give up 17" total inches to Nebraska starting five - almost 3" per player. I guess it's like nothing has changed from the 1980s!
