The UW site has the wrong information. This will be the 6th meeting between the 2 teams with Wisconsin winning 3 of the first 5. 2001 - Texas A&M won 3-0 (Sweet 16) in Palo Alto 2002 - Wisconsin won 3-1 in Madison 2003 - Texas A&M won 3-0 (2nd Round) in College Station 2016 - Wisconsin won 3-0 in College Station 2017 - Wisconsin won 3-0 in Madison Indeed. How they could forget 2001 and 2003 I do not know. I believe the clinical term is repression

If Wisconsin plays even their average level of play this season, they will be fine. A&M relies a lot on Hans (shocker) similarly to Baylor with Pressley but even more. She will most likely still get her share of kills but I'm not sure if the aggies will have the all around offensive fire power to compete with Wisconsin aside from her. Conner is a baller though.

The Aggies, 3rd in the SEC, swept St. John’s and Rice at home in College Station to earn their trip to the regionals. The Badgers, B1G champions, swept Illinois State and UCLA at home in Madison. rice match was 3-1

A great podcast episode conversation with Jon Arias, voice of Badgers, and Huskers VB writer Lincoln Arneal!

For most of the matches this round, I’ll be rooting for one team and at least slightly rooting against the other. Heh heh. This is not one of those matches for me.
I’m excited for this one! I’m confident Wisconsin will play well and am really hoping Texas A&M rises to the occasion too. They may not be the favorites in this match, but they’re a lot of fun to watch, so I’m hoping for 4 close sets. 🤞

[crickets chirping] LOL, pretty quiet in here. Pretty much the opposite of the Hawaii-Nebraska thread!

I remember a match not so long ago when Ali Frantti came under the net and caused Carlini to sprain her ankle, also likely causing WI to lose to the eventual champs, PSU. Hands...stay on your side of the net...PLEASE!!
