Dude Big10 has the most teams in sweet 16, by far. Overrated compared to who?! I'm talking about all these Big Ten yuck-yucks who were predicting that Purdue was gonna smoke Baylor. Among other blowhard BS. That has zero to do with your statement that the Big10 is overrated when they are the highest performing conference in the tournament.

A lot of that has to do with the fact that they were all overseeded. Circular reasoning. Purdue shouldn't have had a home court advantage.

They’re a young Purdue team that has been up and down all eye at. Doesn’t mean Big Ten is overrated.
I think a number of Purdue fans overrated their team based on the first three or so pages of this thread. Or maybe it's that they underrated Baylor.
they underrated Baylor. It's still hard to think of Baylor as other than Pablo #6, but van der Mark has changed the whole equation. People kept saying Baylor only goes as far as Pressley takes them. Three games in a row Pressley wasn't even the 2nd most effective sideout player on her team.

That has zero to do with your statement that the Big10 is overrated when they are the highest performing conference in the tournament. I don't think the Big 10 is "overrated", but they certainly are given many structural advantages and favorited in this process that aren't afford to other conferences. The Big 10 han't beaten any teams it shouldn't have so far this tournament- lets start there. On the topic of seeds, Wisconsin, Nebraska, PSU, Minnesota, fine....but it's dubious to give Purdue a seed....everyone knows it. That's a huge advantage for Purdue. Do they make it out of a sub regional playing on the road? maybe, maybe not. They are 2-6 in sub regionals when not hosting in the last 10 years, so history says probably not. That seed could have easily been given to Utah. Why is Illinois given a bid but Cal isn't? One the placement of seeds, everyone, including Rockewell who hosted the selection show and a huge Big 10 supporter said it was wrong for Nebraska to be seeded ahead of Pitt. Pitt (regardless of what happened in the tournament) EARNED at least the 5 seed. Looking at the bracket more closely, had Nebraska been given the seed they actually should have had, that would mean a sweet 16 meeting with Penn State in the Stanford regional. If you think all of this is a coincidence that has nothing to do with Big 10 favoritisms, I have some swamp land in Florida I'd like to sell you.
