Wow, so she probably figured: OPP: Ndiaye, freshman Hadrych Mosser OH: May eLan McCall, transfer from TCU Mosser And Light fits somewhere if she's healthy. Plus Jacobs coming in will fit somewhere as well. I wouldn't want to be the 5th pin hitter in line either. Whoever gets her needs to understand her block is above average, and her terminating is below average, with ball control not sufficient to be used as DS.

Well, yes we are snowed in and Minnesota has the pins covered next year. However we are always happy to have a player transfer home and the grad schools are quite good. What was her major? It seems like she could go to a number of schools and she may make an academic choice. Wish her well wherever she goes.

So the corn ladies are 1 transfer short of matching Minnesota’s last year. Is anyone going to cry “trouble” or “chemistry issues”? Also similar that it’s three non-starters and a starting DS. Although Capri got playing time on occasion.

What I find hilariously amusing...and a tad bit disingenuous...are the bandwagon homers who staunchly, vigorously espouse the praises of a player like Mosser. Then, when she's leaving?...."No big deal"!

I can't remember now where it was, I'm thinking either his book or the book the World Herald did after 2015 season, Cook mentioned after that year he got all kinds of questions from all kinds of people about what was wrong with program, chemistry issues, etc.

Mosser per the UCLA thread is graduating. Not surprising that she will switch schools for her masters degree.

It’s just the way Cook runs his program, like it or not. Go back several years. He wants to deliver winning results and does what it takes. Like corporate America, maximizing shareholder return. We’re just not accustomed to this in women’s volleyball.

Right. I wondered why a couple of ppl were thinking there should be some tea/hoopla with her being in the portal. Funny. because UCLA doesn’t have good grad schools? Well, my understanding is that, at least in academia, it's frowned upon to go to the same school for one's undergraduate and graduate degrees. My sister has a PhD in chemistry and is a university professor and knows a ton of people in that world, and that's what she told me.

Some schools don't even accept applications from there own undergraduate program, with some exceptions, of course.

Because generally the same faculty teach both undergrad and graduate classes within a university, it is encouraged to do undergrad and grad school at different institutions to learn from different faculty and for broader range of views and teaching specialties.

Right. I wondered why a couple of ppl were thinking there should be some tea/hoopla with her being in the portal. Funny. because UCLA doesn’t have good grad schools? Do you have stats on that? What is the employment stat of grads? Avg salary? Not good to/for YOU maybe, but in the eye of the beholder, perfectly good.
