Here's an idea: Go ask your wife to serve you and see what she says! Or better yet, ask your young volleyball-playing daughters to go serve their boyfriends. Make that your one big piece of advice. And, good luck.

You all need to examine your own motivation and wonder why you feel the need to put down the university that has a Christian affiliation. There is something warped and pathetic about your continual attacks on this university in particular. Would you be this riled up if the school in question was not of Christian denomination (which you have an interest in defending given your stated affiliation) , but... say... Islamic ? You’re not fooling us either. This is such a tired old argument and I answered it the last time if you would care to check. But since you don’t do your research than just suffer.

I am so sick of the rules on this board only being enforced when it comes to conservatives, why is this moron allowed to say things like this without retribution? Evangelicals didn't vote, en masse, for Trump? Come now, they're a substantial chunk of his "base". In the context of this thread, it is perfectly relevant. You're the one calling another board member a "moron" simply for expressing an honest opinion that you disagree with. Other than, I believe, accurately characterizing their "belief", I said nothing disparaging about evangelicals (unless you believe that voting for Trump is disparaging). Apparently, from your perspective, conservative evangelicals should be able to say whatever they want, in the name of religion, without criticism or blowback. Liberals should just STFU. . Once again you are assuming what evangelicals think... and that is not your strong suit ....you have no idea

. Do you think we are idiots? Every since that prayer was said on national TV, you left wingers have been finding ways to to trash Baylor. I think it’s pathetic and sad. What do you think of Rick Butler? What does that have to do with the price of eggs?

Because he is the head coach of a major women's volleyball program who looks to be using his position to spread a clearly misogynistic message to women and young girls. That makes it relevant. Put your apron on. Return to the 1950s, even better, to the 19th century. Dream small. Why are you trying to squelch discussion? Why are you totally buying in on what the poster said? Did you double check his story? According to the OP's supposedly "first-hand" account, he said it, on microphone, in front of a large audience of fans. Not one has come on here to say it ain't so...

If you want to dispute the accuracy of my beliefs on the matter, point by point, by all means, do! That's not what you're doing, however. Instead, you're calling another boardmember a moron, without an idea, and trying to squelch discussion. If this can't be discussed, what can?

My favorite thing about religion and the church is the architecture of cathedrals, mosques, synagogues, etc. -- the various houses of worship. I just love the absolute silence and serenity you get when you step inside. It's one of the few things that made me tolerate going to catholic school in middle-junior high.

The Great Mosque of Córdoba (aka Mosque–Cathedral of Córdoba; Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption). Córdoba, Andalusia, Spain. Arguably, the greatest achievement in Moorish architecture and the largest place of prayer in all of western Islam. 3.7 acres, 856 columns, nearly 2,000 arches.

As a child, this was my house of worship. The deities ran on rails and the architecture was my own. I suppose I should insert something volleyball-related here. Uh, Kathryn Plummer is good. There.
