Hmm. I THINK this is good. It implies, however, that Summer Ross is not returning any time soon, if ever. Very sad.
I'm thinking Fendrick is the best Big available at the moment, and underscores the reality that there are probably 3 quality Smalls for every quality Big. April really made a great decision understanding the scarcity of Bigs and grabbing Alix when she did.

No mention of her health or her progress. I think if Sara Hughes wanted to play internationally, Lauren Fendrick was her option in terms of experience and she points on the table (although probably not much anymore).

Quiggle is playing with Falyn. Callahan is playing with Crissy Jones and going to Cambodia.

Kerri, April and Alix are the three best US players by a country mile (2 bigs and a small) Sara and Summer are not far apart although Id give the edge to Sara long term. Lets say Top 5 - the ones I named - are: 1.Small 2. Big 3. Big 4. Small 5. Big Then Larsen is better than Stockman and Claes is better than Sponcil (Sarah eventually but at the moment, Claes) Id say Flint rounds out the top 10, but thats still an even number of both and blockers ranking generally higher

you are SOOOOO wrong. But I'm too lazy at the moment to put together a cogent post in support of that.

Have always liked Lauren, but it really is a sad commentary on the state of the supposedly burgeoning US women's beach game if Lauren is the best available option for Sara.

Only best available due to FIVB rules. Otherwise she would have her pick of Kerri, Larsen or Claes. Also she probably passed up some younger potential type players due to points and the possibility Summer will be back. If she were choosing a partner for 18 months or even 12, I doubt she would go with Lauren, although maybe the stability and consistency Lauren offers is what she values Depending on what you value and how you assess Emday, Lauren is no better than the 6th best US blocker and possibly 8-10, which is a big change from a few years ago when she got to play a season with April due to the wasteland that was US bigs at the time.

The fact you think she would have her “pick” is really mind blowing to me. 😂. I’m not even going to sit and argue. Time will prove my point. I know for a FACT 2 of the 3 you just mentioned wouldn’t consider her and haven’t. You shall see. Lol

Thats literally impossible Time cannot prove your point unless that situation came to exist, which it won't.

If Tina Graudina chose to use her USA citizenship post Olympics I would imagine she would have a large selection available
