I think you're 100% on the right track to ask a bunch of volleyball aficionados on a rando website to explain the interior design tastes of Lincoln. Because that's the important thing to grasp in this situation. Not that Mr. Hildebrand is the heir-apparent of the team that's won 20% of the National Championships in the lifetime of every major recruit in D1A volleyball, and not that he's going to be the coach of the team that puts the most butts in seats of any program in this country, and not that he's going to be the face of a program whose annual banquet hosts more people than show up to an average PAC-12 match. None of that is important. Let's agonize over what Kristin Hildebrand is going to do. Because with a website, a name, some bona fides and some star power, there's really no chance she does any design work outside the city limits of Lincoln. Not the Omaha metro area 30 minutes away, not the Kansas City area 90 minutes away, not special requests across the country. Nope. Just Lincoln. Only in Nebraska. Probably no work north of South Street, either. Pigeon-holed to just Lincoln. Oh please, this is not the first time a thread has gone off-track. Instead of trying to be a smartass with a sarcastic response, you could offer a straight answer. But that's too much for you, isn't it? That says more about you than me. And who is "agonizing" over Kristin's life may I ask? I simply asked what she is doing now and she will do in Lincoln, how is that "agonizing"? Well, how could anyone give a simple answer to that question? Style is a matter of taste and it varies from place to place person to person. I mean if you lived in Taos it doesn’t mean everyone uses turquoise and coyotes. Very few places have a “distinct or unique style” that’s unique to just them.

Kristin will be fine. She's a high-achiever. Don't sweat her success.

I am/was assuming the interior design question and what are the tastes of the people in Lincoln was meant as a slight to Nebraskans. How possible could someone from little ol' Lincoln NE need interior designers. leedouglas.com/See the above link for another local designer. Doing a google search of Lincoln NE interior design gives you an idea of what is available and what they have done. Doing this will get you a better answer than anything someone on here is going to give you.

Well I have seem some of the new "farmer" homes and they are just as nice as you find in Lincoln or Omaha. Some of the upgrades to older farm homes are quite impressive as well. She will do just fine.

I have nothing against Nebraska (maybe I got an issue with one or two Nebraskan fans, but the state itself I have no comment on), I just don't know what the scene is like over there, which is why I asked the question. As for google, you do realize people are busy and don't always have time to do an indepth research and write a thesis on it?

I was a interior designer ages ago, the reality in Nebraska is that even the people that can afford an interior designer are often too practical to have one. Omaha and Lincoln would be the majority of customer base. The projects in California that are huge and expensive will be limited in Nebraska. Just her cachet will attract quite a few customers, but my guess is it will be in a much smaller scale. There is no reason for her not to be able to do projects and travel, it’s difficult but it can be done. She would be ideal with flipping and staging as well, Lincoln is a great place and has decent resell...I have friends that invest in luxury rentals and flipping. They do very very well in Lincoln and Omaha.

They do very very well in Lincoln and Omaha. I know 50 people who have hired interior decorators in Lincoln. This argument/discussion is absurd. There is plenty of money and tons of new developments in Lincoln. I’m. beginninv to wonder if any of the people weighing in on this have ever been to Lincoln.
