My money is on Jamie Morrison. He has the backings of the GM2 crew and Karch will recommend him. He's looking for a job. He's a SoCal guy. He's worked at USC before. He would likely be affordable. Checks the "boxes".

Tamas take a pay cut to get back to California? That's the problem with this job. BIG coaches are bad bets cause they make more than this job will offer. I just don't see a splash hire coming. This job looks worse today than it did 2 years ago.

what about USA staff who would have just a short move? Luka Slabe? Mike Wall? ...Jamie Morrison? I think Virtue is a great candidate for many jobs but don't see her wanting this. Why? Outside of Virtue, none of them really make sense. And even she would be a stretch now. Mike Wall and Jamie Morrison I could totally see here. SoCal, extensive USA work, Wall can be picky with first HC job, Morrison as mentioned is looking and he isn't a bum of a candidate either. We'll see who actually ends up with this job but if they wanted this job, which is a big if, I believe they'd get a good look.

I think Jamie would be a solid choice, but unclear on what he can do in the college game and he has been gone long enough that he may not have the connections for recruiting. But he was in Pittsburgh, so he is back in the area and networking for a shot to go back to college coaching. I do not see Wall as an option at all. Or Slabe.

As much as I like SoCal (sort of), I think living in the midwest is much better. More affordable, better houses for the same $$$, more gang-free, better traffic. You can live in the cold and the snow in relative comfort. And you don't really need the beaches of SoCal even though nothing is quite as striking as a sunset and gives you that inner peace from hearing the lapping of the waves and the singing of the seagulls. But in the midwest, you get to wear snazzy winter jackets and brag about how friendly your neighbors are.
So, re. Tamas, he'd be an idiot to leave Illinois for USC. His wife Jen Joines would probably give him a couple of swift high kicks to the face if he brought it up over dinner.

About time for UW to extend Keegan Cook's contract, again.

About time for UW to extend Keegan Cook's contract, again. USC would have to offer cook a Substantial ammount of money for him to leave. As I recall, he got a hefty salary increase because of his "interest" in usc lol

I think Hilliard would be a great fit if he wants to be a head coach. He's had ample success at USD and probably gets a big pay raise to stay in SoCal. He's someone worth rolling the dice on IMO. I doubt Petrie jumps ship since she's got a great thing at USD.
