My money is on Jamie Morrison. He has the backings of the GM2 crew and Karch will recommend him. He's looking for a job. He's a SoCal guy. He's worked at USC before. He would likely be affordable. Checks the "boxes". Karch recommended Crouch. Maybe best not to ask him again. Yeah, IDK about asking a UCLA guy for a recommendation.

I cannot find Mick Haley on this poll. What was your logic on leaving him off WG? Logic? He's in the middle of a civil suit against USC. That ship has sailed, my friend. or it might still be in the dock....

USC fans... the list that is posted here is unrealistic. How about this list: Morrison, Nolan, Mansfield, Mansfield (one LMU one Stanford asst), Van Niel, Sunahara, Alvey (I think this is the most likely considering the AD), Hampton-Keith, Wong, Rosenthal, Carlston

The list should really be about: - How well USC can sell their new and improved administration, hich is as yet unknown.
- How much of a gambler the candidate is, where they can look past the turmoil that is still ongoing with the university and the athletic progam.
- Possible reduced resources for the volleyball program because of the costs incurred by the lawsuits by the feds and by Mick.

I have personally e-mailed the USC AD and promoted Robyn Ah Mow.

I don’t think the volleyball program would face specific resource cut from Haley lawsuit. He’s suing the Univ/department not volleyball. USC has insurance as well. Whatever Haley gets in settlement t won’t be department changing in terms of money.

USC just fired the CFO and the head of their foundation, so lets assume they aren't going to make it rain in the Galen Center. So Fisher, Cook, McGuyre... not likely. I'm going to go with JMac, or if she doesn't pop up elsewhere, maybe Molly Alvey. Why does everyone bring up Jmac? Didn't he retire for his health, even healthy, would he really Risk the stress again? It was due to back problems. Back problem don't generally just "go away".

That .447 winning % is not a stat that gets your phone ringing. Also, only 4 winning seasons which happen to be the four seasons that Jordan Thompson played. They went 13-19 during season Thompson sat out with Knee injury... so unless she has another Jordan Thompson in her back pocket why would she be a good hire? trojansc you also said she would be a "nice" hire! SMH As much as the Athletic Dept might be a dumpster fire currently we're still talking about USC women's volleyball! This is a program that is one of the select few to have won a natty, is in a P5, a conference that is always in the debate as being the #1 or #2 conference in WVB, and is a perennial top 25 team. Even if they don't open their wallet as wide as they can they still should be able to get a coach that is worthy of the opportunity.

Even if they don't open their wallet as wide as they can they still should be able to get a coach that is worthy of the opportunity. While I don't disagree with your assessment of Alvey's tenure (she started winning when she lucked into one of the best college players ever), I think the reason she would be considered is that the USC AD was the AD at Cincinnati before he was hired at USC. Also, I'm not sure the USC job is actually as good as you think it is. USC and UCLA have a lot of natural advantages, but I think both schools have kind of squandered them by being cheap. And at a certain point, all that tradition is a double-edged sword, as it creates a lot of pressure on the coach to win immediately. Look at USC football and UCLA men's basketball. Those programs should basically always be in the top 10, and yet both have struggled in the last 10 years or so.
