I believe Priddy/Lee and Evans/Ricardo was what I heard most recently. I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Doherty. Despite his proven effectiveness, guys dont seem to like playing with Ryan. Maybe its that old syndrome that used to lead 5'8 East Coast guys to team up, basically choosing their desire to be with a partner with good ball control over a more frustrating partner that gave them a better chance to win. Could also be the perceived lack of dedication, but he hasnt gotten the partners his results would seem to merit

Timmy B wins a title partnering with a rejuvenated in shape Theo while all the Olympic hopefuls are gone
No clue about rookie of the year
Casey/Troy will be a dumpster fire and break up. Troy is wildly unskilled particularly setting which does not bode well for Casey.
Surprised Lotman hasn’t scooped anybody yet, I also want to see where Kyle friend ends up (with Lotman?)

I think this partnership will be a great thing for Troy to learn from Casey, and Casey to just have fun and make some good sponsorship money. Whether they have success (read as Sunday appearances) or not is something we'll have to wait an see. Watching them on IG and YouTube play together they seem to have a ton of fun, and Casey seems to be embracing the mentor role in a way that I don't think Bomgren could. Don't get me wrong, I love Bomgren (mainly because he played club in Wisconsin), but I didn't see him as much of a mentor for Troy.

I’m buying no stock in Theo who I think is one of the more overrated players of the last 7-8 years since I’ve been following the domestic and world tours. Even though I love Bomgren.
First time winner is hard to predict right now.
Team most likely to break up has to be Rosebeer. This was a weird move by Jeremy to begin with and I think we ends up with Beranek, Bomgren, or Priddy by mid season. Rosie’s half assed effort level at this stage in his career will not last with Jeremy.
Field and Casey will make a couple sundays but Casey isn’t the same side out player from the right side and Troy will struggle to set him well enough to win big. I’m interested to see who teams target here. Troy’s erratic passing or setting?
Going with Benesh on the newcomer provided he qualifies.

Casey is one of those players who can figure out how to win a match even when over-matched. Also someone who loves to practice, where Troy can learn from a vet. This isn't a solution for Troy, but a great/smart move.

Watch Troys match against Lee/Rosenthal. Lee eats him alive as well as a great exhibition of all of Troys weaknesses.

Kolinske Hyden will be sneaky good with the veteran discipline and business like attitude. Doubt they have what it takes to steal a win but how upsetting will it be to watch exciting, enthusiastic teams like Casey/Troy or Benesh/Beranek drop to two grumpy but talented old men?

I meant he was a good mentor and both guys improved playing with him not necessarily that he and Troy will be as good as either team. I do think they can win given how weak the AVP is right now. There are basically 3 teams that are about as good as Brunner/Lucena were 8 years ago - or whenever their first incarnation was - and one of those teams often decides not to try. Take the cream of that mediocre field away for FIVB and anyone can win McKibbin/Loomis won one of those events so its not like its an incredible accomplishment

Robbie Page posted a video lifting at UCLA with Hagen Smith. Anyone hear murmurs of a comeback? not to be mean, but he was never here to comeback from... But, I'd like to really see what he can do. Who's the huge kid Hagan played with at the end of last year? Jonah Seif, he seemed to have some potential.

His availability is only at the tail end of the season.
