Lewis v Hawaii should be a good game. that is my third pick but won't be surprised if it is one sided and UH wins convincingly. If it is close or Lewis wins then it will be the most interesting for sure.

But this will give us a good indication of how good Lewis really is - if they can hang with the Rainbow Warriors.

They looked great against some very good teams in the fall scrims in socal and at home against some average to below average teams but tonight's game is a couple levels above that and the UH of 2 seasons ago did seem to stumble in matches like this. I think they will show up.

This UH team is focused and are enjoying where they are at. They treat every match like it is a BIG ONE. The lessons learned in 2018 have not been forgotten-- they are going to go in and take care of business and not mess around. That's the way they treated their Fall scrimmages that I saw, that's how they've handled their 1st 5 opponents this season and I have no doubt that it's going to be their MO this year.

BYU @ Mount Olive going basically as expected: 25-17 and 25-10
BYU started Earnest at setter and Oberender at one middle. Lots of substitutions towards the end of the second set: Ah Sue at Oppo and Akani at OH2

-17, -10, -22
BYU got pretty sloppy in the third. Not a great serving set and I though Earnest set better in the first two games.
Notables:
Garcia-Fernandez with 8 aces Jon Stanley is turning into a pretty effective serving sub.

George Mason over Pepperdine (3-1)
Was thoroughly impressed with GM's sophomore setter Talamoa. He's small but plays/sets a hell of a game. Forced the middle really well and cleaned up a lot of balls. GM is riding the injury bus hard (Wagner, Velez, Kapusta) but they're making due really well.

2-0 now: 25-20 in the second
Wildman is a fun player to watch.
