UCI leading 2-1.
Up 19-18 in set four.
Can the Cards rise to the occasion?!?

And Stanford can’t pull out the set.
UCI wins 3-1 (25-18, 25-23, 21-25, 25-21)
Balanced offense by UCI. Schneidmiller and Naskanda leading the way with double digit kills. Stadium with seven.
Good win for the BWC.
But my real concern is with the Cardinal. Are Jasper and company the real deal? So far it’s been very underwhelming to say the least. 🧐

What happened to Bischoff?

What happened to Bischoff? Unfortunately there aren't commentators for UCI's games so no information was given but he wasn't in the arena tonight. Possible sickness or injury is my guess. However, I do think Lamp did a solid job. The passing and overall play of some of the other players let him down.

The staff said that they were down to their 3rd option at setter due to injuries and it showed in the first 2 sets. Lamp was not connecting well with his middles and Jasper was hitting the ball off tempo. Will Rottman and Justin Lui have some great potential. Hopefully the Card can get back to full health.
Stadick will most likely get Defensive POTW again with 2BS and 6BAs (chipped in 7K, for .545, but Nsakanda's clip was unexpected. It seemed like Schneidmiller was doing all the work until I saw the box score-- 16K, .387. (Schneidmiller 11K, .348)

I draft Bischoff every season, and he always misses games. When will I learn....

Justin Lui is 3rd in the NCAA and the 1st in a conference that has actual hitters for digs per set. For a redshirt freshman, 2.59 digs per set is insanely impressive.
