Very interesting that this was cut out of the edit. I'm this close to becoming a "Q is winning Survivor 46" truther, even if it's mostly just that I want him to win. I was kind of surprised that Tif or Maria didn't offer to give their reward to Liz. But then I thought that they realize that everyone in the past has viewed this as a 'play' and makes them vulnerable to being voted out the next tribal. With the edit that we didn't see - now everyone saw Tif and Maria offer, and could be viewed as getting favor for a Liz vote if she winds up in the jury - which puts more of target on their back? Dang editing... Q has positioned himself to make the final 3, but how does he get the votes to win? He would have to describe his chaotic play as a master plan to get him to the final 3, that otherwise he was getting the same early fate as Hunter and to completely change things up. That would be one major sale job to pull off. I wrote from the beginning that I was rooting for the Maria/Charlie alliance to stay strong and stay secret enough that they could make the final 3. I don't know if they have an incentive to stay together all the way, and I don't know how secret their alliance really is? On one hand - it would appear that no one sees them as team that needs to broken up - so it makes me think they have been successful in that aspect. Or it could just mean that no one thinks they are really a LT threat (but I am doubting that one). Anyway - I would be interested to know if their real tight alliance is mostly secret and would love to think they have been manipulating this all game long. Wednesday night at tornados like 200 miles away, but the local station cutoff from the network, just when Probst picked up the 1st vote to read. They then came back for the previews for next week. Pretty poor timing for a cutaway.

Pretty poor timing for a cutaway. So I don't think Q is actually going to win. I think it will be Maria or Charlie at this point, though Venus is the only one that I'm pretty confident won't win. For everyone else, I can maybe see it if they get to the end and make some good moves on the way. I was thinking about this, and I actually think Q would be the favorite in the dream final three of Q, Venus and Liz. Let's say that five people won't vote for him: Tiffany, Kenzie, Liz, Venus and Ben. That still leaves the other five: Charlie, Maria, Tevin, Soda and Hunter. I think Q still has/had decent relationships with that group, and if he's sitting next to Liz and Venus, then they don't get to vote. He could win 5-3 or 5-2-1 or something like that. I'm also not 100% sure that Tiffany or Kenzie would never vote for him. I wouldn't bet on it, but there have been jurors (e.g. Christy, Rupert, Kat, Abi) who voted for finalists they were mad at when they left the game. I also think Kenzie needs to make a move soon, or else she could end up like Gavin and Cassidy. She has no moves at all right now, and getting blindsided on the Tiff vote after she backed out is a really bad look. If she never makes a move, she could find herself losing to Q because at least he made moves. There have also been some weird things about her edit that make me think she isn't winning. She was the instigator of that fake idol plan for poor Jess, which was totally unnecessary and meanspirited (to be fair, Q was involved with that too, but he's so personable that I think most people forgot about it). She called the Randen medevac a "win" for their tribe, which was gross. And then this mess where she talked about needing to vote out Tiff for her resume, backing out and then getting blindsided when Maria made the move anyway. Would they leave all that in for their winner? Maybe, but I'm skeptical.

Not all of them, but enough that someone like Q could have a chance. At this point - that is his avenue, he played a better game, not being the most liked. Q really screwed up the game for many in their minds - so he is going to have to convince them that this was his plan all along. Tuff sale, since at this point it doesn't look like a deliberate plan on his part.

That said, I don't think it's possible to win if you have no moves the way that Gavin and Cassidy did. As long as you have something, and the jury likes you the best, you should win. Though now that I think of it, maybe Dee was an exception? I'm not sure who the jury liked the most there. I try not to think much about that mediocre season.

Okay, I just read the exit interview and came here to say this. 😂 I know they've been mixing up the edits in the new era, but this would've been so funny to keep in and leaving it out feels intentional. There were other Q moments I would like to see too, like him fighting with Ben. This could be because they want to keep the edit balanced, but the conspiracy theorist in me is like "oh, they're toning down some of Q's villainy so the Facebook fans don't hate the winner."

Also, Jeff went out of his way to differentiate Q asking to get voted out from Hannah and Sean doing the same. That's a weird thing to say from a host that famously hates quitters. I get that Q is TV gold, but so was NaOnka, and Jeff didn't go easy on her. This despite the fact that NaOnka was a recruit rather than an applicant and had anemia in one of the worst rain seasons in Survivor history. And production didn't give the contestants (especially fellow quitter Purple Kelly) adequate clothing. Oh, not for nothing, but NaOnka lasted until day 28, which is two days longer than the new era. They should cast her on whichever season (odd or even, I don't remember) has less rain, get her some real clothes, and watch the ratings soar. Anyway, back to Q. It could mean nothing, but Jeff easily could have just said he was disappointed in Q's quit attempt but we'll have to see what happens.

Well, there goes the dream final three of Q, Venus, Liz. The Q is winning truther in me will have to figure something else out, but at least he's still here.

That was a bummer of an episode for me. Not the outcome, just that as soon as Venus was talking about Tiff going home with an idol in her pocket I knew she was going home. The last 2 episodes were so much fun with the blindsides, so this fell flat.
Q winning would be the funniest (maybe best?) thing for the season. I could see it happening. I think Charlie or Maria beat him at the end, but I'm not sure the others do. Also, Jelinsky being first boot and Q the winner of the season would be kind of iconic.

We did get Liz complaint about her entitlement for getting an award again - for which the winner of the challenge denied.
3 straight leaving with an idol in their pocket - and at least two of them knew they were getting votes. What the heck.
The way this has been edited - there seems no way that Charlie could beat Maria. They are allies with Maria being the perceived more strategic. I am still holding out that they are iron tight, and Charlie's talk was a muse. But - I can see a strong incentive for Charlie to get Maria out (based on the editing) - and that is the rub. Charlie and Maria could be perfectly allied in an effort to make the final 3, but how do they differentiate to get the win - as it is likely 1 of the 2 is going to have an advantage and the 2nd one is incentivized to make a move on the other.

No, not Q. I hope Maria or Charlie wins. The other three would be extremely weak winners who have done basically nothing the whole game.

Venus and Q going back-to-back makes this finale a lot less exciting. They were carrying the season from an entertainment standpoint. Like at least when NaOnka left the game in Nicaragua, we still had Fabio and Dan to bring the entertainment. There is no one in this group like that.

Maybe the weakest since Gabon, which is the worst ever in my view.
