SMDH. š¤·š»āāļø Let's all assimilate now I guess. It's been real. Strawman. Big difference between disagreeing with a decision... and trashing the coaches that made the decision or the players that played because of it. As a fan of the NT, I'm surprised you can't see that. Oh honey, I'm a small town hick and you're using big words. I honestly don't care one way or the other. Folks are attacking someone I care about, just like folks are accusing Reach of doing to Karch and some of the players. It's just criticism. I don't think it's attacking at all. Reach and I both wanted this team to succeed. Don't get it twisted. So I guess we all just suck and no one wins the argument. Sooooo there is literally nothing any of you "just here for the olympics" posters can say that will sway me one way or the other. Reach is one of my favorite posters in our little International/Pro VB group. On Wednesdays we wear pink and you can't sit with us. Sorry š¬š¬š¬š¬ See, that was crappy, and I don't think I care. Have a nice day.

Iām willing to eat crow on my criticism of some of Karchās choices. Foluke really showed up. In the beginning, I didnāt want her starting. Poulter killed it in the last two matches. Hancock led us to victory against Italy. Would Carlini have done that? Maybe, but whatās done is done. Micha did what she was asked to do.
Iād also like to admire the opposite choices this Olympics. Annie Drews and Jordan Thompson complemented and supported each other in the best possible way. Iām in awe. Thatās a culture I can get behind. Props to you Karch.

1. Says not obsessed. 2. Sends DM saying not obsessed. 3. Keeps posting about me.. so not obsessed. Must not be obsessed. Stalker season came early this year. Here are some more gems/receipts: We know who the players that should be playing opposite are. Karch doesnāt. Itās that simple. USA needs to be sent home and Karch needs to go. Those bad A$$ B#*@&)# were cut from the team. You gotta play nice for Karchypoo if you wanna be on the team. The fact that Carlini isnāt setting the A team is certainly a bad joke. Karch wants to win the meaningless tournaments... what would JLP do? She is better than H-cock but that means little to Karchitron. also, Carlini outshined Hanslop in the Italian league most meetings. Karch doesn't want to break up koolaide and s'more time

Strawman. Big difference between disagreeing with a decision... and trashing the coaches that made the decision or the players that played because of it. As a fan of the NT, I'm surprised you can't see that. I agree that is a big distinction (and I'm only quoting this post because I think it sums up how I feel about this whole issue). That's where I take issue in this whole thing, there's trolls and people trashing the players especially just for the sake of their own favorite players (so, biased) but then as toddy mentioned a previous post, there should be legitimate critics who aren't biased or irrationally-based that shouldn't be lumped into the first group. There should be an ability to discuss decisions, strategy, selections, etc. without either being a troll and insulting/demeaning/going too far with players/coaches, and also on the other hand not have other people say "you've never touched a ball past rec volleyball" or that "people are suggesting the entire should be replaced". I never saw the entire team should be replaced, so those hyperbolic posts don't do much either, but fuel war and NOT encourage legitimate discussion either way. But I also don't take issue with this thread because it is a victory for those who thought Karch's decisions were so bad, that even if they were right, USA's next-in-line would be that much of a dropoff they couldn't get it done. Of course the most glaring example: Why did people have to trash Hancock because they thought Carlini should be there? There were ways to even be critical about Hancock's game without the extremities. I mean, I was pretty neutral on this issue, which is why I jumped on board with a few #HancockHive posts because I like the underdogs anyways in general, but also because someone was going to be hurt no matter what decision was made and who doesn't want her number called? If you're a fan of a team you have to support the team first. I like to see players prove others wrong when they are questioned. I was happy Boz made an impression for Turkey because everyone said they were going to ride-or-die on Karakurt and Boz wouldn't add anything. Now to the critics: One thing I'm curious, since someone brought it up about admitting mistakes, has Karch admitted that bringing 3 setters to Rio was potentially a mistake? Does he even think so, or does he still think that was the best possible decision for that team? Was he truly looking to force left-handed OPPs in the system as accused, and he did he himself distinctly decide to change/evolve? USAV is pretty secretive and not so fan-friendly, so, I doubt any of this was publicly discussed. But, it doesn't really matter as long as the problems are addressed. Not only the previous discussions, but the libero position improved significantly and the team is much better than they were at the 2018 World Champs. For those reasons alone, I have to say that Karch has improved and should be at least given that acknowledgment from the people who can't stand him the post. Personally, I was neutral on the setter decision. I thought it really didn't matter. Someone of Olympic quality was getting left home, USA is blessed with depth and options many other countries would dream of. I still stick by questioning not bringing SWP, though based on the results, it didn't matter. SWP could have been here and they still would have won Gold. I just thought it added another dimension to the team and addressed a weakness. I could be wrong. But, I'm not demeaning Karch/Hill/anyone for it and I had no personal bias on the SWP situation, if I heard this years ago from myself I would be stunned she was even in the conversation.

Because in relative, big-picture terms, he has been a head coach for a fairly short timeframe and he won the 2014 WC. Now as a person & broadcaster? Nope! There's something about this guy that just totally rubs me wrong! Congrats, Karch.

Make more of those boys use float serves.Ā I was obviously making a joke but I agree. I just wrote on the menās board it would be great for the sport and country to have a coach with no ncaa affiliations. To your point, I would love to see what tactics KK would employ in the menās game now! Guaranteed we will see more floats either way. The Speraw serving philosophy has been proven not to work.
