Why wasn't there a decades-long progressive political project? Why are they better at elections than you? Because Democrats aren't actually interested in or capable of exercising power. Genuine question: what do you think is the most likely, long term if need be, outcome then, for the political representation of "the left"?
New party? Complete revamping of Dems? Other?

-and people who don't vote because their perfect candidate isn't on the ballot. Then they protest and still don't vote. I know people have the right to peaceably assemble but if they don't vote they are just wasting their time. Trump lost the popular vote by 3 million in 2016 and got to appoint three justices. If Dems weren't so selfish as to refuse to move to all parts of the country, then would that have happened?
That's the system they knew was in place. But they still wanted their cake and to eat it too.

Infighting and insurrection?? How far off the rails are you? not off the rails. people should protest and not burn down their own city protesting is not domestic terrorism I just laugh at some of these responses. pure hatrid, no ideas, no deliberation, just go in to an 'accusatory' mode of response people shouldn't protest? just sit there and let the Ted Cruz wackos of this country who don't really care about freedom, but only care about controlling other people, just like the AOCs and Pelosi want to dictate behaviour lol

No idea. The left today wields no power in American politics and has no political structures to do so.

Which is not a good thing.
When the country is as dead 50/50 split in worldviews, as it absolutely is, then both sides need to have roughly equal power.

I'm talking about bernie supporters who refused to vote for Hillary because Bernie was not the nominee. If you don't vote you reap what you sow, Then they protest AFTER the fact.

Urbanists want to be able to concentrate themselves into very few, highly dense parts of the country, and still wield at least half the power.
The country was never setup to work that way.

Perhaps HRC should have campaigned in Michigan and Wisconsin instead of trying to run up the score in blue state cities. Or, you know, earned the votes of people to the left of her.

Well the way this country was set up was stupid. But you asked about the "left" and then started talking about a 50/50 split so I don't know what you mean about "left."

If you don't vote you reap what you sow, Then they protest AFTER the fact. That the following three things happened leading up to 2016: - Biden decided not to run - Bernie ran and had as popular of a campaign as he did - Hillary beat out the rest, and it was assumed she would beat out Trump
is entirely why this country currently sits where it does.
Any one of those three doesn't happen, and we're midway through the second term of the Dem 2016 winner, with a 6-3 Dem appointed SCOTUS.

Plus, practically speaking, any human in any state is going to be able to order pills by mail. What if one don't have a credit card? Or finances independent from one's partner? This is a joke, right? You can literally get birth control pills for free. Forever. Kind of like "voter suppression". You just need an ID. A state could pass a law banning out of state drug companies from shipping to its residents. Lots of them already do for alcohol shipments. Even if they couldn't stop a certain transaction, they can absolutely put the woman in prison after she's caught. It's like people who ship edibles via fedex- it's unlikely you'll be caught by the police but the downside risk is years in prison. This isn't remotely true. Sucks that there are people on the supreme court who want to overturn Griswold, then!
