Sharks are already 0-2-1 with a theme developing of giving up lots of 3rd period goals. I truly believe they can be the top bottom feeder in the NHL this year. Unfortunately, like the Red Wings, Blackhawks, and others that were good for a long time, they will have to take their medicine for a few years so they can draft top level talent.

All 32 NHL teams were in action in yesterday's Hockey Day across North America. The only team without a win this deep into the season is the San Jose Sharks with a record of 0-5-1 (1 overtime loss). The Bruins, Avalanche, and Golden Knights are all undefeated.

I fully acknowledge that rules are rules but the kid didn’t bet on NHL games. I am not seeing the big deal, but I’m willing to listen to any arguments supporting being suspended for half the season.

Granted they were up against Tampa Bay and Carolina but San jose looks like a disaster. Back to back shutouts against?

I think they have a chance as they lack any semblance of firepower and their D is very bad. Tonight they take on the Vancouver Canucks at home. The Canucks, while one of the weaker teams last season, seem to be playing better this year. This is the Sharks 1st home game after a long road trip. IMO the Sharks best chance for a win is to catch a team at the end of a long road trip that plays uninspired. Or, possibly the Sharks goalie stands on his head with numerous brilliant saves. That's how they got their only point against the Avalanche. EDIT: Sharks already down 3-0 in the 1st period against the Canucks. Looking like another loss. EDIT #2: Sharks lost 10-1, scoring a power play goal late to avoid a shutout.

Anyone else here Canes fans (caniacs lmao)? They'll always be the Whalers to me! Didn't they have Gordie Howe and his son on their team way, way back?
