With Coastal Carolina having a phenomenal year thus far, and Loeswick having Head Coach experience in their beach program.. It's got to be safe to assume that he will have the Interim tag ripped off after the season, right? Sincerely doubt he wants it. Sounds as though he's enjoying the beach culture and lifestyle way more than the frustrations of an indoor program. Has two daughters playing in high school right now and doubt he wants to miss another season.

Carolyn Condit is retiring at the end of the season. OXFORD, Ohio— Miami University volleyball coach Carolyn Condit announced today that she will retire after the 2023 season. Condit, who is in her 40th season leading the RedHawks' program and 44th season as a college head coach, has amassed 781 career wins in her legendary career. She is the longest-tenured current Division I head coach in the nation, and holds a 682-549 record at Miami since taking over the program in 1984. Condit has compiled more career wins than any coach in any sport in the history of Miami Athletics. "My years at Miami have flown by and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to coach so many bright and talented young women at such a prestigious University. They have impacted my life more than they know," said Condit. "And where education remains the number one priority and doing what is right truly matters, it has been a privilege to work for the many Presidents and Athletic Directors who uphold these high standards year after year. Love and Honor!" "Carolyn not only held herself to high standards as a teacher in the athletic classroom, but she has empowered a generation of women to lead themselves and others with those same expectations of excellence," said Jennifer Gilbert, Associate Athletic Director/ Senior Woman Administrator/ Deputy Title IX Coordinator. "Carolyn has shaped, guided and motivated teenage girls into strong, independent, compassionate women who are proud to have played for her while representing the Red and White. We have taken the lessons learned as volleyball athletes under her tutelage and used those skills to become nationally-known doctors, lawyers, teachers, business women, entrepreneurs, engineers and fantastic, nurturing mothers," Gilbert said. "On behalf of all of her former players, we express our gratitude for her impact and our congratulations on a well-deserved retirement." Jennie Gilbert played for Condit. miamiredhawks.com/news/2023/10/31/womens-volleyball-condit-to-retire-after-2023-season.aspxCarolyn is a genuinely wonderful human being and an excellent coach. I greatly enjoyed my many chats with her over the years. One heck of an ambassador for our sport and a spectacular role model for women in the coaching profession. May she enjoy her retirement. Well deserved, Coach! Coach Condit is all those wonderful things and hope she enjoys retirement. But this should have happened years ago. This once proud program is in the middle of an absolute hot bed of local talent. The campus is gorgeous and it's a highly regarded university. The facilities are a bit outdated but Condit lack of success recruiting locally (with in 100 miles) since Chuck Rey left really set this program back. The run they have from 2014-19 was great. This will be a great spot for a first time head coach who is coming off of a recruiting coordinator gig. Andrew Kroger would have made a ton of sense here but he just got the IUPUI job right before the season.

Are you trashing Coach Condit or are you praising Chuck Rey? Inquiring minds want to know.

Not a big job but Knox College opened. They have an interim but they'd just hired a coach in August who wasn't this interim. I heard nothing even though I live close. Any insight?

Disingenuous and not a little bit passive-aggressive when they open with this: Coach Condit is all those wonderful things and hope she enjoys retirement. And then follow with this: But this should have happened years ago. Spit out your bile honestly and then move on instead of pretending to be laudatory.
