Incredible growth of boys volleyball continues: 1285 teams signed up for AAU nationals (322 teams more than last year) Quick ReviewFor full spreadsheet Boys Nationals 2024Awesome work everyone! Very interesting numbers! USAV is disappearing on the boys side for sure... The ranking on that detailed spreadsheet seemed really weird. A team that I'm very familiar with only shows results maybe from the Chicago JVA tournament in Nov if I were to guess. Why aren't the big SoCal Cup AAU tournaments included in the results where this team attended both in Dec and January? The rankings look like they come from AES and the SoCal Cup stuff doesn't use AES for their tournaments. The Chicago tournament used AES. SoCal Cup stuff used SportsWrench.

Boys went to only one session in USAV a few months ago I would think this is something that will happen going forward I know a lot of the Flordia boys teams and Puerto Rico teams sign up a bit later

It will be interesting to see if AAU slides their tournament next year to match USA. Boys USA Nationals in Minneapolis is scheduled for July 3-10. Which for USAV is late since it starts to push into Summer Beach Nationals and Summer NTDP.
On a different note, is USAV All Stars happening this year? I haven’t really heard anything about it. I think I saw something from C2 talking about tryouts for their regional team. But maybe I was mistaken.

Des Moines, Iowa July 16-22nd is what our region posted about the USAV All Stars / High Performance whatever they call it now.

Yep, thank you for answering this, was away from computer for a couple of days. Basically most California teams dont even show up in rankings except for the matches they played in the AAU Chicago tournament in November. So that is tough because AES was supposed to be a combined view into all of the teams but now we unfortunately dont have that.

You can see there are a handful of clubs who did that that attended SoCal Cup in January. Im sure the AES rankings will update in May once clubs start thinking about club ball again.

Just not easy to do so with the SoCal being on Sports Wrench. They must have gotten a really good deal to jump over there.

Unfortunately international teams are specifically prohibited on registration. Probably not an issue of competency but trying to control the masses/limiting registration numbers. aauvolleyball.org/2024BoysNationals

Ref didn't want to go 3 sets! Hi Everybody, I need some help: I know a lot people here are coaches, refs, etc. May I ask for analysis of this short 40 sec video clip? What is right, what is wrong, etc. I’m trying to get an anonymous and unbiased opinion. The only fact I can share – the teams there are U14. Thank you in advance!
