What time of the year will the 2026 recruits start to commit? June 15 is when coaches can first contact the class of 2026.

Cracks me up that they can start committing in June but they can't actually visit the schools until August or September, if I recall correctly. That has always seemed backwards to me. Should be the other way around, but this is the NCAA we are dealing with.

Three of our 2025s were confident enough to commit right out of the gate last year because they’ve been coming to camp.

Three of our 2025s were confident enough to commit right out of the gate last year because they’ve been coming to camp. I love soooo much that your daughter got to participate. Thanks for sharing! If money and time were not a factor, I prefer the camps having an oversized influence. While there's no foolproof method for figuring out the right fit, camps are much better tools for it than official or unofficial visits. Preferably there would be some combination. Of course, money and time is a factor, and I can't wave a magic wand to make youth sports less expensive to participate in, but I wish I could. The only thing I can think of regarding the delay between contact and visitation is someone somewhere felt like it would be a good idea for coaches/players to be able to have some conversations BEFORE a visit is scheduled. I'm not saying I'm an advocate, but to me that's the obvious rationale. What I wish is that the recruiting process wasn't over so quickly for most of the highest rated players. I much prefer the narrative I see people advocating for players to take their time, visit multiple schools, and don't make the decision until they're farther in the process. This is June 15 prior to their junior year. There's no real rush except the pressure the process puts on these young ladies. I understand sometimes the player is absolutely convicted on where they want to go. But sometimes there's a fear of missing out guiding their decisions in unhealthy ways, IMO. But it's important to be grateful. I'm glad they made the no contact rule until June 15 of the junior year. Listening to players talk about the recruiting process beginning in 8th grade the way it used to makes my skin crawl.

Some rumors of Devin K from Texas transferring (she’s currently looking at the USC campus with her mom), do we think Wisconsin would throw their hat into the recruiting mix for her? I do think ultimately, if she were to transfer, she would choose USC I doubt it; we seem to have taken a pass on several OHs with equal or better experience. I do wonder what if anything Sheffield has cooking.

Listening to players talk about the recruiting process beginning in 8th grade the way it used to makes my skin crawl. The main problem with SAs waiting is that many programs now either put a timeframe on the offer or offer 2+ players the offer for a position, which puts a lot of pressure on the recruit to make an early decision. I agree that the gap between contact and visit should be reduced, but I would also move contact to July 15, so these recruits can finish out their season and not deal with all this stuff during nationals. Whether visits begin July 16 or August 1 (as it stands today) we can have a debate. *Let's not get into the discussion about certain programs who have Elite Prospect camps prior to June 15, who may (or may not) make scholarship offers to their recruits.

I thought she was recruited out of high school as an outside, I could be wrong She has played both positions at Texas, but was brought in as an outside. She stuggles with passing and floor defense. She would also sit behind Anna on the RS.

She was probably serving in a scrimmage, but Robinson for the Demps role is an interesting option, and frees up the MB/RS Log jam. Would be good for a pro career too. Will the passing work though?

If the OH duo stays as Franklin and Orzoł, they'd be able to hide the opposite in the passing formation. I honestly still don't think it's a super likely combo, but if she made big strides in floor defense, then I'm happy to be proven wrong.
