was she arrested or was it just a facebook post? From what I’ve seen, it’s just a Facebook post but LPD is looking into it it's true ... my friend works there. No cap, she stole.

If HM is on the team in the fall, this behavior seems like it’ll cause a huge distraction for the team. As a coaching staff what in the world do you do? Genuinely asking, not being snarky, but if I had a player who racked up more criminal charges in the off season than she had in the championship match, I’d be considering where her scholarship is being placed. I agree. Is her talent and volleyball related contributions worth all of the distractions and negative press that Nebraska volleyball will continue to get? This also goes completely against the new culture Cook and the coaching staff are trying to implement I think there's very little chance she gets kicked off the team. If she was a walk-on who never played, sure, she'd be gone, and Nebraska would be talking tough about how they have zero tolerance for such behavior. But she's a star, so she probably gets some kind of relatively short suspension. Now, if she continues getting in trouble, then there will come a point where they'll have no choice but to sever ties. I don't think we're there yet.

I will be very surprised if she's isn't playing in the fall, but im fine being wrong on that
We all know cook wants to win above all else, and if it's up to him he's definitely keeping her imo

There isn’t an eye roll large enough for this hyperbole. Her scholarship isn’t for being Mother Theresa. Is this all a subconscious cry for help? Sure seems like it, but pulling a scholarship? Just stop…. You’d take her in Austin in a heartbeat

At this point I hope Harper’s able to accept help, regardless of whether or where she plays again. There’s no joy in watching someone’s personal struggles overtake their talents.

Completely agree, my heart hurts for her. When players are struggling they really do need sports to focus on. She”sobviously battling some issues. If people on this board cared about these players as much as they pretend to ? They would not be dramatizing this to put further pressure on her. It’s like they enjoy destroying someone. I thought we were here to support the players?

While athletes going through a hard time benefit from having their team to lean on, a repeat offence like this in such a short time period shows that Harper isn't thinking about the team and how her actions impact everyone as much as she is about herself. When a star player acts so recklessly not once but twice, they jeopardize the entire team and at a certain point that has to take priority over what's best for the athlete in question. I sincerely hope that whatever is going on in Harper's life that is causing her to act this way can be sorted out for the sake of her wellness and peace, but I'm beginning to lose faith in the argument that the best course of action is for her to continue practicing with the team

Yes, saying “we think you should take time away, as some sort of punishment/accountability (suspension) is an obvious conclusion. Having said that, you’re then taking a person who is behaving self destructively, and removing her from positive influences, routine, support……..I don’t have the answers, I just know they aren’t black and white, and each case is unique.

It’s weird to me that a program like Nebraska still has a bunch of players who have already transferred out still listed on the official roster.
