The Big 10 needs to go live with the VB media day. All the coaches and players in 1 spot, they could fill the day with interviews and background on each team. The “Live” angle would bring eyes I would bet. I thought they already were live, on BTN, for the main interviews.

I am curious about the new arrivals to the B1G. What kind of job do Oregon, UCLA, USC, and Washington do on keeping volleyball fans informed?

I am curious about the new arrivals to the B1G. What kind of job do Oregon, UCLA, USC, and Washington do on keeping volleyball fans informed? informed about what, exactly? all of the above schools usually make timely posts either on the official athletic website or some sort of official social media account about the stuff that actually matters - schedules, results, season tickets, player and coach additions/departures, the obligatory random puff pieces that could be said about any given program, notable accolades or achievements etc.

If you mean in terms of generally knowledgeable fanbases- I’d say the west coast fan bases generally have an edge. Remember, it was only like 10 years ago that the entire Coliseum was dumbfounded that Cook kept subbing out his best middle during tight sets bc they didn’t realize the players had to rotate on the court. I think we forget how far NCAA volleyball has come and so quickly.

I took the “informed” question to mean what kind of media coverage do they provide during the season. Several of the high profile BIG schools have things like weekly coach and player press conferences, podcast appearances, a local reporter assigned to the team, etc. Other top ten schools seem to have almost no coverage.

Yes. Since some fan bases rave about how they are kept informed and some rage at their lack of up to date information, I was just curious how these schools do in the minds of fans and really which one might do a better job than the others. Simple curiosity. Get to know my conference. Thanks for the responses.

So B1G+ isn’t allowing volleyball only subscriptions anymore? So if we want to renew, does anyone know what other options we have? I’m a little confused by the email I received. I don’t want to spend $120 for all content if I have other options.
