I believe it should be S: Carlini/Poulter/Hancock Opp: JT/Annie/Cuttino OH: Skinner/Skinner/Parsons/Larson (unsure if Frantti is there) MB: Stevenson/Butler/Chiaka/Asjia L: Fleck/JWO I'll wait for a Parsons-Koga-Yamada-Kojima and Annie-Hayashi-Wada-Tanaka reunion photos then No former teammate of Cuttino lol Or maybe Butler meeting her future teammates

Karch had other black players on that team and still has black players on his team. I don’t think he left Hooker out due to her race. I loved watching Hooker (one of the best athletes I’ve ever seen); Tom was my all time favorite, LOVED Fawcett, etc. All these players were kicked out due to Karch’s system. His system consist of kumbaya, being besties, ask veteran players for their opinion or simply leaving out players because of their “attitude”. My original post was about not understanding how a strong willed player like Karch became a coach who doesn’t like strong willed players. It’s strange to me. My comment was in response to the poster saying Destinee deserved to be dismissed but not Tom. They also referred to her as a "diva" which is not cool when referring to black women. I used the diva word. I have never heard about any uncool reflection of the word depending on color. Please dm me a list of words and phrases that I am restricted from using. I have used diva for 20 years, Jennifer Lopez, Kim Mulkey, the Rolfzens (soiled divas) and many others. I have followed Destiny's career since HS, coached in same conference as her AA dad Ricky, one of the finest BB players from SA. Just feel her senior year at UT she got to big for her britches. So please cut me some slack on my obvious uncoolness.

I think the year Hooker got cut by Karch She had had a baby, had baby daddy physically abuse her, and then had him steal funds and in general kill the relationship and her summer girls camp program. I'm thinking at that point she was seriously un-diva'd.

While she's on the VNL rooster and has played with US team in the past, I guess I was talking about a serious shake at the Olympic roster. She didn't see enough of the court at nation's league. didn’t she literally start a good amount of important matches at VNL Khalia got a good look last year and it’s not in her favor that Plummer/Cook are starting over her. Simone Lee also has gotten looks and opportunities in the past. But you have to be able to consistently pass/defend under Karch to be an OH. Karch’s oh’s since starting have all been good passers: Larson, Bartsch, Hill, Cook. These 4 have been on a tier above the current crop of newer oh’s on the scene that may be able to terminate more effectively, but less consistent passing/defending. You gotta have Larson and Cook on the team to stabilize backrow and sr. Unless Plummer performs awful leading up to Olympics, she should be on roster. Whoever the 4th spot oh that passes/defends the best this summer will take it.

I was thinking about the player's that have been put on PVF's exempt list and the fact that it's a player here, then a player a little later... it's not happening all at once.
Got me thinking specifically about O'Neil getting pulled so soon... I mean, it seemed super-early.
Does anyone else think Karch was trying to protect her since she just had surgery?
Her PVF playing window seemed just long enough for him to see if she has any post-surgery mobility issues, then, YOINK!

she got injured like 3 different times. Left to go to Anaheim to recover early. Feeling better now while working with USA PT. Hope’s she can make the Olympic roster but knows it’s not the end of the world if she doesn’t because she’s still young

this video is a beaut to watch…especially the rally at 2:03 and the set at 2:13/2:14.
Can’t wait for her VNL debut to see where she is physically/mentally! Rooting for JP’s road to Paris

When I was with NT it's a mix. Players (and staff) get a share and USA Volleyball takes a share.
