Larson, I'm sorry I ever doubted you. Not necessarily saying she deserves to be a lock for Paris, but she certainly contributes. I wouldn't be upset if she's a part of the final 12. The problem then becomes Krob. I really don't want to see both of them out there together... I’ve watched so.much. Kelsey this year! She had one of her best seasons. She was hitting aggressively. her defense was great, her serve-receive was great. She is better than Larson right now! I’d start Cook/Plummer. Give Plummer a chance to pass, pull her from the back row at 20, if needed, then sub her back in when she rotates to the front. My starters are: Carlini? Plummer/Cook Middles: Opp: Libero: Hentz? Wish we would have given Grey a chance at setting. She won the Brazilian championship after all. I’m not sold on any of our middles. Hall was the best here but I watched her this year and she wasn’t spectacular.. I have not watched Chiaka this year at all but I was expecting so much more. I’m not sold on Rettke or Washington and Asia is injured. Opp: love JT if she’s healthy. Drews? Hmmm… Need more options. We need a heavy hitter. The best hitters at every team nowadays are the opposites, not the outsides. Haak, Antropova, Egonu, Bosko, etc. M. Skinner and Kipp are not powerful enough. So much to do! Unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll be ready by Paris. Need to rebuild for LA 2028.

I know it is late in the game to be changing positions, but what if Plummer could move over to opposite? Wouldn't that solve a bunch of problems? I know it is not likely to happen, but you would get the power arm over there and she is great OOS, plus you take her out of the passing equation. Could this solve the puzzle or what am I missing here? Has she ever played opposite? I know it can be a tough transition.

She has played opposite multiple times for conegliano against bad teams and has looked good, but she does not look good out of system and her d ball was suspect. I dont think she wants to play opposite though, i think it was said on here that she wants to play outside even if others want her to change.

She made that clear at Stanford too. Heck, she's versatile enough. She actually set/hit in club or high school. the other pins, cook and larson are versatile too so why not have them all in there.

USA is playing Thailand, China, Brazil (at home) and Dominica, and could easily go 1-3. I’m sorry. It’s been painful for all USA fans.

logan tom is retired. we can call her Logan lol I dont understand why this is so confusing, why would we be referring to someone who hasn't played on the national team in over 10 years💀 This is why we don’t have nice things.

Is Madi to Paris really that unlikely? No. Right now it is a serious option and if it’s not. That’s a problem.

I am not a Madi Skinner fan in general but she looked really good yesterday both defensively and offensively. Yes she’s getting dug but she’s finding shots and getting the ball past the block

As a Madi Skinner fan, I think she’s definitely ready to go excel in a top pro league, but not to help USA medal at the Olympics yet.

USA and Brazil will need to “out team” other teams like Poland, China, Turkey, Serbia, Italy.. just like we did in 2021. No big opposite to bail us out so we have to pass exceptionally well and win the sideout battle. Lots of talent in the USA pipeline but no real proven difference makers.

Pretty low sample size of Madi’s stats don’t you think before writing her off already? She’s a better option than Cuttino who’s #3 on opp depth chart

Plummer hasn’t proven herself with the NT, but she could be an offensive outlet for team USA. She was taking a fair amount of out of system with Imoco. I wouldn’t be surprised if they run with Larson/Cook though

Tons of potential there. I think this is more a reaction to everyone “writing her on” to the Paris roster. We have not seen that level of play yet. If we wanted someone who could get dug or blocked 80% of the time we would have Samedy playing.

She’s a better option than Cuttino who’s #3 on opp depth chart It’s not a huge sample size, but it’s 2 full sets against Brazil’s A team, and when you’re talking about a medal contender for the Olympics, that’s the exact type of situation someone on the Paris roster could be pulled into, so you have to execute. I said “yet.” She could go pro right now and start on a great team. She’ll rock LA28. She’s just not there for Paris. And Eggleston is #3 (at least) on the opp depth chart, no matter what Karch says.
