i assume most of you dont know Tia, but that is a coup. She's by far the best middle in Germany right now. (and that's including two starting Dutch NT middles) Whoever is acquiring talent at LOVB is really on top of the international volleyball scene. They are finding getting some real gems I think Tia played at A5 so that might help. but I think the team is Danielle Scott, Maggie Eppright, and Tom Hogan? Danielle, at the very least, should be very on top of it.

They obviously would have connections and know a lot of these players. They’d at least be able to tell LOVB to give them a call

Probably helps to have more widespread connections with agents too.

These are details from an interview with Dijkema in the Netherlands (so grain of salt, also translation)
LOVB wants to balance US veteran players/newbies/international players (we kinda knew that)
They want to expand (At some point) to 12 teams.
She expects to be in Atlanta or Omaha (figures)
The "american way" of viewing sports appealed to her.

This league will start off with the best setting talent top to bottom of any league in the world.
I worry that the top scoring pins will continue to go to turkey and Italy ..
How does this league steal some of those big hitters? Outside the national team of hitters the talent looks mid.

A big problem is year 1 they cant compete financially with the top turkish/italian teams. Those teams arent being (solely) run as businesses. Missing out on Avery Skinner is poor... (Cause Chieri isnt going to be as good next season)... but who else do you want? Ecza threw the bag at Plummer/Gray. Both Bajema and Lanier have partners in Italy. Depth is still needed. It's probably too soon to judge without knowing the other 30-40 unnamed players.

It's understandable why they might not want to give up that paycheck for a league that hasn't played a match yet. Hopefully, the first season goes well, and some of those players are interested in the future.

Who do we think will leave PVF for LOVB? The top players.. Pretty sure edmond said no thanks to that offer lol. With pvf announcing they're paying up to 175k next year, it may be harder to drag some of those better players away. especially someone like Edmond, who wouldn't be able to dominate lovb the way she can pvf
