If PVF is really only attracting college grads, how are these players supposed to improve if it’s the same level they basically faced in college?

It would be a shame for PVF to just be an extension of the NCAA. Also, the background of many players is unknown. The website doesn’t list their college or conference accolades. I’d like to know when and where they’ve played internationally. The announcers do sometimes mention countries during the matches. Would like to see the PVF winner play in a European championship at some point.

There's probably not a market for one. You'd have to host it in April/May... and none of them would be able to compete in the CWCHs (unless they all alter their calendars or they just go as a preseason event) Im the only one who has this opinion (since it'd be impossible to fit into the calendar) but Id love to see the CWCHs pushed into april or may. that way the team that earns the bid would actually get to compete in the event.

With the roster turnover in wvb you usually dont get a great representation of the team that qualified. Does mexico have a club league? (Or any of the caribbean countries?) could easily be a really short tournament among the league champions at the end of the season for NA title (idk how the schedules line up, dont care tbh)

Same goes for the rest of north america. DOM would probably throw together whoever is still on the island lol. It would align with PR/LOVB/PVF so thats about as much representation as South America gets for theirs lol

PVF (or Lovb, whoever survives) would be the USA competitor. Just like other league teams (Italian, Turkish, German, Croatian, etc.) can be competitors in Champions. Norceca could be a possibility as well. A way to elevate play and something to strive for at season end.

Norceca should too, or merce with South America. Brasil’s teams dont compete in the CEV champions league, they earn the right to face the European champions in the Club World Championships.

Still believe there are existing opportunities that could raise performance expectations of PVF or LOVB.

It will be interesting to see. Sometimes the first one sticks, sometimes the second one builds off of the knowledge acquired from the first one and becomes the mainstay. The PVF, I’m sure, has learned a lot logistically and marketing wise. So far all I see from LOVB is “hey we have olympians” and they may be garnering the highest salaries. But all that doesn’t equal compelling matches or competition, I mean they have 2 Texas teams and Madison and Omaha. Are they going to have the camera systems? I don’t know man but it kinda smells like vaporware to me, like when bad movies get made with big stars, but I’m probably wrong. January huh? Not a lot of time.
