Kassidy O'Brien sticks out to me and imo is probably better than some of the bigger names. I saw Glass play in KC & Orlando. I don't think she was a standout by any means. Watched Campbell Flynn some. She dumps a lot and tends to get frustrated with teammates and it shows.

(Mostly from last year, but I've started to get through some Triple Crown matches from this year). I think on pure ability to run an offense, Reese Messer is the most dynamic setter in the class. Very much reminds me of a prep version of Nicklin Hames. On the total 5-1 package, I'm still going to lean Campbell Flynn here, but I dunno if she's that much better than a number of other setters. I do agree 100% that O'Brien is a name that people should be talking about and so should Frye. The most intriguing prospect is Musgrove - I think she is the one of the better true 6-2 prospects to come along in some time. I like the overall setting corps. in the class of 2025 a lot more than I do 2024.

I think I have a good handle on OH, but setters in a short sample size is more difficult (at least for me). Messer and Flynn were two that stood out to me in terms of impact on the success of their team at TC. They appeared to be working with less talent around them and were 'forced' to be more creative. That doesn't necessarily translate to the next level.

How do they rank by dump ability? Campbell Flynn led her high school state championship team (in Michigan's largest and most competitive division), and her AAU team in kills, both as a 5-1 setter. The flack above about her is so funny to me because they're like "... I guess they keep winning tho." Almost like it's the setter's job to get the team to point 25 faster than the other team does or something. I think she sets the way she does at this level out of necessity. Reilly vs. Flynn in a few years is a competition I'm really interested in seeing develop.

Someone told me Charlotte Glass got benched during one of their matches this weekend at Bluegrass. Said the score got really tight and Glass was making too many errors. I know these things happen and she is a really good player, it just kind of surprised me since they won the tournament. Interesting. What match was it? I saw her in a couple this weekend and she looked pretty good Had to look it up and pull up BallerTV. It was OPVC. That is interesting because that team only has one D1 commit according to PrepDig. Sometimes you just never know what is going to happen on the court and some of these teams can be a tough matchup based on style of play.

Cant speak for other states but I think in Ohio the Class of 2026 is the most talented group we have seen in a long time. All of the big Clubs have really good Open level teams and are loaded with D1 prospects. AVC, Elevation, Mintonette, TriState Elite, NKYVC (lot of Ohio kids on this Club), EliteVC. Usually one or two of the Clubs are not as good but in the 2026 Class all of these teams have so much talent. We even saw it with HS this past season. Lot of sophomores across the state were starting and playing significant roles for their teams

Saw Reese Messer play at MEQ. Incredibly athletic and her ball placement is very consistent. I would rank her as the top Setter for the 2025 Class. I can also see why some folks prefer Flynn because she is a Lefty and is 6'1 or 6'2, I just think Messer is a lot more athletic.

Who are the best/better setter prospects for 2026? Asking for a friend named Jerritt.

At the Under Armour Next camp last week three pretty unknown 2025 setters were given MVP.: Isabella Haggard, Kate Rush and Hannah Kenny. I was only familiar with Haggard. Flynn and Reece were both in attendance but didn’t receive MVP or Golden Ticket

Flynn and Reece were both in attendance but didn’t receive MVP or Golden Ticket Hannah Kenny is committed to Louisville (libero) and is the starting setter on the 1st Alliance top team that includes Abby Vanderwal (Texas) and Addy Horner (Wisconsin). She has similar size and skill set as Messer. Kenny is better on defense though. The kid is usually not mentioned when discussing that team 1st Alliance squad becuase of the aforementioned pins (I see them mention Horner and her setting more than Kenny but that speaks more to the love for size at that position than their abilities) shes the glue that makes that team go. Both of those kids hit on the front row and set on the back row. Doesn’t surprise me one bit that Kenny was named one of the MVPs.

The kids aren’t pushed because it’s before a qualifier as well,so they aren’t doing hardcore 6v6. Just like in years past, you will have some head scratchers who are chosen along with the obvious.

Kirra Musgrove needs to be on this list. Maybe overlooked as she is playing H Skyline 18s this year, but is ridiculously good.
