And this is just the beginning. Wait until Thursday… A blatant example that you have no job or life. What a gigantic loser. That has nothing to do with Trump’s trial

David Pecker's testimony demonstrates that Donald Trump was screaming and yelling about Fake News, and was creating Fake News through the National Enquirer the whole time. Of course, Holidumb won't ever acknowledge that. He's focused on the "Ladies of The View" Isn’t it interesting that Mr. Department of Justice(Colangelo) who refused to charge Donald Trump for the same crime (when working for Merritt Garland) is now working for FAT ALVIN,….and is now charging him through the District of Manhattan? Now why is that? If the Department of Justice didn’t see any crime? It’s how corrupt the Democrats are yet again. It’s that they don’t think they can win honestly just like they did in 2020. They’re corrupt !!!!###$$$!!!ing bastards much like the people on the board.

Should be an easy verdict for the jury, other than the mountains of evidence showing Trump guilty. Pecker’s testimony has already been devastating to Trump.

ABC News): The Secret Service held meetings and started planning for what to do if former Pres. Trump were to be held in contempt in his criminal hush money trial and Judge Merchan opted to send him to short-term confinement.
When (if) he goes to jail after being found guilty (felon) in any and all of his multiple trials will he forfeit his Millions of dollars of Secret Service protection?

I think that would be a mistake (and likely illegal anyway). President can choose to give up Secret Service protection. (Nixon did, about a dozen years after he resigned.) Otherwise it is for life. (They changed the law making it only for 10 years, but then they changed it back again.) If a President is removed from office, he loses the lifetime benefits, including the protection. It would have been interesting to see how that would have played out if Trump's second impeachment trial had been successful, since it happened after he was already out of office. Trump's service as President terminated when his term of office expired and Biden was sworn in, so it seems like maybe he would still be eligible as a "former President" even if he had been later convicted under section 4 of article II of the Constitution.

It is obviously important that the US does not develop a tradition of imprisoning former politicians because they are political opponents of the current government, but I think it is also important that we establish that no one is above the law.
That requires walking a line, but I don't think it is all that fine of a line, especially in this current case.

That requires walking a line, but I don't think it is all that fine of a line, especially in this current case. Trump’s attorneys have made the claim that anything short of total immunity would subject former Presidents to political prosecutions. Of course no former President has been prosecuted, but all these prosecutions are clearly justifiable. It’s Trump’s criminality that’s clear.
