Tbh I expect Henno to turn pro. Even if he hasn’t completed his degree? I feel like if you’re one year away, you’d stick it out and get it. However, if he got his degree early and still has an extra year of eligibility, then yeah, go pro Maybe his extra year of eligibility is the Covid year?

I'm interested to see who they bring in at setter next season. That has been UCI's problem the past few years....inconsistent setting. They always had the pins but never the setting until Sheward came on board. He wasn't flashy but he put up a consistent set and that's all the pins really needed. I could see UCI struggling a bit even with all the returning firepower without a decent setter. don't forget libero too! Cole Power was solid for them! Which UCLA libero transfers there? Hide Nakamura wasn't even in this latest picture. Anybody know when he took out UCLA from his insta bio? Hopefully he gets picked up and given a real opportunity. https://www.instagram.com/p/C6U3OCRR09P

I don’t think he will get the extra year of Covid eligibility. He is a true junior and started in 2022 season.

But 3 years in you would think he'd just finish it out.

There have been a few foreign underclassmen who won recently, but it seems like they all turn pro right after.

Both returned to play for a full 4 years.

I had a "that can't be right" moment until I checked and yes, you are right: There was Nikolov who won it and before that it was Costas his sophomore year- all the other foreign players in between (including Gabi) were seniors. My mistake- I guess that's why they all turned pro right after.

Yuval left after 2 before those guys but overall, it is rare. The foreign players do typically value the education and finish off their degrees.
