I think there is a good chance of seeing an upset tonite. The alumni team's roster looks pretty good. Strong up the middle and some good passers. No "egos" on the roster this year.

With faces like those on those Hawaii alumni, I'd be pretty upset myself.
LOL.

Things didn't work out that way. Dio Dante was a no-show, Eyal Zimet and Rick Tune were present, but did not play. The alumni team was overmatched and lost 3-0, but game 3 was close (28-30). Nice Pics. I heard it wasn't close except for the three game. It would be great to see what some of the former players are doing now.

Game 1 was pretty close, but game 2 was a blowout. From the Star-Bulletin: starbulletin.com/2008/02/09/sports/story06.htmlUH volleyball team sweeps past alums By Cindy Luis cluis@starbulletin.com It was a night of celebration and remembrance, a time to honor the past ... and, in the case of the Hawaii men's volleyball team, a time to respect their elders without getting embarrassed. Youth prevailed in front of some 500 at the Stan Sheriff Center last night, with the Warriors sweeping the alumni 30-26, 30-19, 30-28. Leading the varsity was Joshua Walker with 14 kills. Alumni highlights included the always-entertaining Sivan Leoni (1995-98), solid setting by Kimo Tuyay (2001-04) and the overall play of Jake Muise (2001-04) with 15 kills and Chris Kosty (1998-99) with 14. The event opened with an alumi-alumni match where Troy Hotz (1995-96) and Pono Maa (1983-86) helped the Green over the White, 30-24, 28-30, 15-10. There was also a moment of silence to honor the late John Mau (1966-70) and Guy Jennings (1973), who had competed in every prior alumni match. Both men died last year. Another picture of the alumni lineup that played against the varsity
