1) Nebraska 2) Texas 3) Wisconsin 4) Pitt 5) Louisville 6) Creighton 7) Florida 8) Purdue 9) Penn State 10) Stanford 11) Kentucky 12) Oregon 13) Georgia Tech 14) Dayton 15) Marquette 16) Kansas 17) TCU 18) SMU 19) Florida State 20) Arizona State 21) Georgia 22) Minnesota 23) Indiana 24) Kansas State 25) Tennessee

Here was my ballot: 1. Texas 2. Nebraska 3. Wisconsin 4. Pittsburgh 5. Louisville 6. Stanford 7. Oregon 8. Tennessee 9. Kentucky 10. Penn State 11. Purdue 12. Florida 13. Southern California 14. Washington State 15. Georgia Tech 16. Arkansas 17. Creighton 18. Arizona State 19. Kansas 20. BYU 21. Baylor 22. Houston 23. Dayton 24. Western Kentucky 25. Marquette Top two could be interchangeable, however at this point, majority of this is made up from how teams finished last year, who they lost, who they returned, and who they acquired. I can honestly see Nebraska running the table this year, even though Texas still has Madisen Skinner. She is my pre-season favorite for National Player of The Year. I don’t see any other teams who have the depth, and talent in that depth, besides Texas and Nebraska to run the tables. Maybe Wisconsin or Louisville, but as always it is way too early to tell. I have Southern California high up there, as I believe they’re on the upward trajectory with their program along with the talent they have coming in for the next few seasons. Maybe a little too high, but again still too early to tell. I kept Arkansas on the list, but to be honest, that may change after the first week. With that being said, another exciting season of Women’s college volleyball awaits us all! Oh, so I can blame you for Kentucky being over Creighton on the poll I see. 17?!

Respectfully, that Creighton ranking is giving "meh, midmajor I don't pay attention to" Creighton gave Louisvile all they could handle in the sweet 16. And now they brought in a 5th year 2.3 transfer passer addition from Penn State to their backrow and a 4 year starting middle from Kentucky to join a senior setter and one of the most dynamic outside duos in the country.

ASU so high with Lavinska (36% of overall kills) having graduated seems pretty lofty to me. Also they are replacing their setter.....although Argentina Ung is pretty talented. I like their first two contacts, and I like Cyr and Jeter. They won’t be as good as they were last year, but I had them in my Top 25. I think they’ll do well in the new Big 12. Cyr will have to hit at a higher percent than .226 this year which may be even tougher without the threat of Lavinska on the right. I also like Jeter and the way they use their middles. I think the Big12 will be similarly difficult as the old Pac12. There are some solid programs in there. I like ASU, just felt they should start out the season more in the top 20-25 range.

They probably will jump the rankings after the first week, but if I’m going to be honest, I haven’t took much notice of Creighton (my apologies Bluejays). But with your info, I can see that coming into fruition! They’ll definitely be one of the teams I have my eyes on early on.

I feel like using % of production lost as a way to determine how good a team is going to be moving forward is a silly metric. The way percents work, being out of a hundred, someone is going to absorb the percentage of what a team loses. Teams are allowed to stay good even if their best players graduate. I guess I should have added that she hit .348 with that amount of production. Tough to replace that big of a threat on the right side, and without that threat your outsides will have even tougher time trying to pick up their #'s of kills and hitting percentage.

What us team does Melissa Vargas play for? the closest thing to buying players to win I can think of is Texas so I’m gonna say UT Austin

Nebraska doesn't have anyone who jumps as high as Melissa Vargas, though. Maybe not on the RS, but Andi Jackson gets up there I'd be curious to see a Jackson vs Skinner comparison in terms of their jumping ability. One thing they definitely have in common is a flawless mug

FSU ranked that high. That's the one team I didn't have in. Just out. Curious why ya'll think they will be that good.
