I think Minnesota has a real chance to win this even though I think I picked Stanford in the PTW. I’m not very high on Stanford this season but didn’t know how well Wucherer played against ISU before I picked. if she keeps that level up… look out.

Agreed, they have a much better shot against Stanford than Texas but everyone will need to be firing on all cylinders. If there’s a better offensive spread and the passing holds up I’ll be happy 🤞

I don’t know if MN will win, have to give the edge to Stanford… but I think it will be more competitive than the last couple of years and Minnesota could absolutely surprise some people.

Stanford rebuilding after a large graduating class. Minnie on the 2nd year of the K Cook era and the 1st season post Landfair. Should be a good game for both teams but I have to give this one to Stanford.

For me the core trio of Miner, Rubin, Oglivie is the reason why I’m giving Stanford the win here. I think they have some potentially great pieces in Harvey and Blyashov as well so I’ll be watching them closely. But I do definitely expect this to be pretty competitive especially if Wucherer is improved and can’t deny Shaffmaster is a baller in terms of all around play. Minnesota has good depth on the right side with Crowl/Grote both being solid options and I’m excited to possibly see Acevedo’s collegiate debut. I also think getting production out of the middles will be a contributing factor for both teams.

I will give an edge to Stanford too. As a gopher fan, I am a bit worried about Stanford’s tough serving. As long as the gopher can handle the reception fairly well, I think they have a chance here. And maybe Stanford will have that 20 SE match to help gopher win this match lol.

I expect her to start in the DS1 role based upon what I saw in the UA match.
