vballfreak808 4 teams tied at 6-9 for only 2 spots is pretty wild going into the last match. The tiebreaker would be pretty extensive. I imagine UAB, Memphis, North Texas, and Tulane could ALL lose their final match. If you do H2H against each other, Tulane, UAB, and Memphis would be even and North Texas would be odd-man out from what I see. But what does that mean? Would you re-start the tiebreaker without North Texas involved and look at H2H between Tulane/UAB/Memphis, or would you go to the next step in the tiebreaker and look at H2H *set record* between those three? Because technically when you take North Texas out of the tie-breaker, Memphis would get eliminated. But if they do go to set record, Memphis would get the nod. Very interested. I believe it would be, use the head-to-head tiebreaker, which eliminates North Texas, then continue to set record amongst the three which then eliminates UAB This was fun to look into. Technically, Temple can tie several teams for those last two spots, but, I don't see a scenario where they win the tie-breaker. North Texas is losing a tiebreaker with like everyone so it looks like they need to win and hope two of the other three 6-9 teams lose. It looks like Tulane is winning most tie-breaker scenarios.

It very much can happen that Temple ends up tying them. They face last place Charlotte but it's on the road. Amongst the others, Tulane could loop Florida Atlantic back into a tie with others if Tulane + others wins. Match-ups on Sunday for these tied teams + Temple - UAB @ South Florida (only meeting) - Tulane @ Florida Atlantic (only meeting) - Memphis vs Tulsa (Tulsa swept Memphis @ Tulsa last meeting) - North Texas vs Rice (Rice swept North Texas @ Rice last meeting) - Temple @ Charlotte (Temple swept Charlotte @ Temple last meeting)

So that made me look at their result vs. North Texas. North Texas lost to FAU too! They would be 1-5 among those hypothetical 5 teams that could end up 7-9. It's like how in the hell is North Texas even here if they lost to everyone around them... lol.

They also got the win over Tulsa and went to five with East Carolina and USF. They had the potential for sure. We'll see if they can pull off another upset this weekend

Which AAC team is in the win and you're in position for the playoffs?

USF swept UAB so USF is the top seed in the conference tournament
FAU defeated Tulane 3-1 and now FAU is the 6th seed
Tulsa sweeps Memphis so Tulsa gets the 5th seed. Regardless if Wichita State loses to UTSA (they are tied 1-1), WSU has the tiebreaker over Tulsa giving the Shockers the 4th seed
Rice & North Texas tied at 1-1 Temple & Charlotte tied at 1-1
If North Texas wins, they get the 7th seed, if they lose their season is done (they lose any tiebreakers).
If Temple wins & North Texas loses, their is a chance at a 4 or 5 way tied for 7th, which is huge implications. Based on head-to-head between the five teams (UNT, Temple, UAB, Memphis, Tulane), Memphis & UAB will have the advantage. But if Temple loses and it's a four-way tie (UNT, UAB, Memphis, Tulane), Tulane & UAB have the advantage.

Temple defeats Charlotte 3-1
Rice & North Texas in set five. Rice lead 8-5 but North Texas on a 5-0 run to take the lead 8-10.
A North Texas win and UNT & UAB gets the last two spots. A North Texas loss and Memphis & UAB get the final two spots

North Texas wins!
Rice could have received a share of the regular season title with USF had they won

USF's coach lock for Conference Coach of Year. Has to be no brainer. Most improved team I have seen this year.

How did UAB get the last spot? Amongst the four way tie for the 8th spot, UAB lead the head-to-head record (3-2) over Memphis (2-2), Tulane (2-2), and Temple (1-2).

Tulane has to be sick. Finished losing five in a row and one of them being to Charlotte in five. They did have a few tough matches down the stretch but win that one and you are in.

The Charlotte loss was a tough match to swallow. Followed close by the UAB loss in 5 at UAB. Win one of them and the FAU match didn't hold as much pressure.

The more I look at this conference, the weirder it gets. UTSA beat the #1, #4, #5, and #6 seeds and misses out on the tournament. They went 1-7 against the rest (bottom) of the conference
