So he kind of did his homework and realized one of the teams tonight went on a trip to Turkey this summer.
And assumed it was Wisconsin.

I think that's exactly what the pre-conference season is for. I know that RPI counts them all the same (oh by the way, RPI suuuuuccccks) but you still have to figure out your team in real-time. Sheffield has done all the things that make sense, he hasn't moved off any setup too quickly, but he's been willing to change things up. And honestly? I'm not sure why you wouldn't just want the three of CC/Dev/Anna/Booth who are playing best out there in sets 4 and 5. I don't think there's a big enough difference to permanently relegate one of them to the bench, and the players will get it ironed out even with the extra couple permutations. Even the 6-2 switch, I want that to continue - Anderson is probably not getting a plurality of reps right now (or could be nervous) - based on Spring I think she has enough to warrant the occasional double switch. |
