Arizona won their first match vs Al St 3-0 led by Hodge with 12 kills. Robey and Wilson also had really good numbers. Most players got some playing time. Next up PVA&M tomorrow. Would like to see some non usual starters start that match to get some playing time and match experience.

we won *eight* matches last season lol I don’t care lol. This is a complete waste of time for Arizona. You can have cupcakes but wasting an entire non con week playing these 3 teams is lame. babes. we had this on the schedule before Robey transferred in. at that point all we knew is Sofia was gone, Jaelyn was out indefinitely from a foot injury and unwilling to play opposite (why we grabbed the USF girl), and we had lost one of our starting middles and our libero. we had ZERO proven good littles, setters, or middles, and an average mid-major opposite. we WERE this alabama team😭 Robey was a god send and Hodge recovered and decided she was finally willing to be an opposite. |

Like Rita, facing a new AD who didn't hire her, was going to risk her job with another single-digit win year. She knows what has to happen. I wrote an article that explicitly questioned her job security if she didn't get to the tournament or at least improve the record considerably this year. She told me it was a great article. No road games at Wisconsin this year, tyvm. |
