We typically do not move teams down if they have not lost, so I'm wondering why Pitt was moved down by several voters.

My guess is, as is often the case anytime a team that’s not one of the mainstays is doing well, a lot of voters haven’t even watched Pitt play yet this year.

I was in the ER so could not submit my ballot
but I personally probably would not have ranked Baylor
SMU made them look like a JV team. I believe their setter had like less than 10 assist.
it was a BEATDOWN.
I would of done something like 1. Pitt 2. Penn state 3. Stanford 4. Nebraska 5. Purdue 6. Loiusville 7. Wisconsin 8. Kansas 9. Texas 10. Creighton 11. Oregon 12. Kentucky 13. Tennesee 14. GT 15. TCU 16. ASU 17 SMU 18. Florida state 19. Minnesota 20. Marquette 21. USC 22. Florida 23. Hawaii (not saying sorry. I like this Hawaii team even though they annoy me, alexander is mother) 24. BYU 25. dayton

Stanford just obliterated Texas. Pitt played Buffalo. not sure why anyone moving Stanford ahead of Pitt after last week would be *that* confusing or controversial.
fwiw, my entire top 5 didn’t change lol

Penn state vs Pitt will be a KEY match for our rankings Stanford confuses me. At times, they look absolutely lost. Like they dont look like stanford teams in the past. They are not physical, but man are they scrapy. Like others have said, they WIN the serve and pass game all the time. YU has a NASTY serve. That %*$# is like a bullett.

I'm not seeing Wisconsin and Kansas over Texas. Texas handled Wisconsin pretty easily and Kansas's schedule has been good but not comparable to Texas's. But I'm glad Arizona St didn't drop much after getting swept by a strong Nebraska team. Let me help you see Wisconsin over Texas. Wisconsin lost to the then No. 1, No. 4, and No. 6 teams. They beat a ranked TCU and Baylor teams. No losses to unranked teams like Texas has. Also, Wisconsins loss to Louisville was on a very bad serving night for them. The loss to Texas was in four sets, the first went to 30 points and the second was pulled out by Texas late. Wisconsin had injuries, including one to Julia Orzol that required them to start a true freshman at OH1 in all three of their first three matches and also an injury to Anna Smrek. And, they were experimenting with using two liberos, which has since been put aside in favor of the true freshman Lola Schumaker playing full time as libero. People are looking to those first three games and thinking Wisconsin isn't that good this year, and this Badger fan is going to be so happy when they show they are still a factor.

What is clear is the top 3 right now are Pitt Psu and Stanford and the order can be argued
