I don’t really feel like the male players of recruiting age today care about Karch Kiraly even a little bit. Yea, maybe not, even if they played beach

I doubt it, I feel like back then he was still a household name in volleyball. I just feel like specifically teenage boys don’t know or care much.

Even if players don't know his success as an indoor and beach player the Olympic gold and silver as a coach carries a lot of weight. He would do amazing imo.

Oh I don’t doubt he would do a good job down the line, I’m just saying idk if there’s much initial recruiting pull with him that’s going to register with the current generation of recruits, seeing as how he’s not involved in the men’s game, and his own name is not going to be that recognizable to them.

In terms of recruiting young males, Speraw was successful in recruiting and Karch is a bigger name in volleyball than Speraw. Speraw has the draw of the National Team, so if you have recruits with aspirations of the NT, then Speraw is a big name. In terms of playing history and accomplishments, Karch is more successful.

I am hearing they are in serious talks with the GCU head coach.

I am hearing they are in serious talks with the GCU head coach. This would make so much sense on all levels.

I am hearing they are in serious talks with the GCU head coach. Maybe Werle gets UCLA and Hawks stays at Loyola but gets the national team?

Anyone hearing any rumblings? The job posting has been taken down, so there must be some movement happening.

Thoughts on possibility of Erik Sullivan? Good Bruin player from the Speraw years. Close with Speraw. Has won multiple titles at Texas as their main asst for the women’s team. Probably would have to take a pay cut to go from UT to UCLA men. Just a thought.
