White
Spread out the ball pretty well. Charlie made good decisions based on scouting report Opp HP was low, but felt like they missed some opportunities on block and BR. Good practice against their two main hitters that are smaller. Scouted where sets would go based on serves. Need to be more dynamic on finishing block. Charlie was good giving Anna better sets that she could work with. Anna's game has become much more diverse. The angle shot and tip shots finding space are new and she will get better. Takes time to develop connections for Charlie. BR connections were really good tonight. Gave Anna a chance to work the defense.

Smrek is 3 blocks and 2 kills away from her first career double-double 1 kill away now My first thought was "did she not have a double-double in the national championship match?" 14 kills, but "only" seven blocks.

1 kill away now My first thought was "did she not have a double-double in the national championship match?" 14 kills, but "only" seven blocks. double-doubles with blocks are extremely hard to come by. Basically, digs, assists and kills are your high-volume stats and anything over 10 in another stat is ridiculous, including blocks. I'm just waiting for GG to get her first double-double: digs and aces

No, Smrek didn't have a "blocks" double-double that night... ... But Dana did. 11 kills and 13 blocks. :-)

It's been my favorite rotation lately...just waiting to see what damage the Gutch can do with her serve. 🥴

(I haven't read through the eight pages here, so maybe somebody already mentioned it, but...) Did anyone notice or mention that the down ref last night was the great Pati Rolf? Refereed in the Olympics, world championships, NCAA championships (including the 2021 national championship match), etc. etc. And she's in Madison for the "big" Wisconsin-Troy match?!? Not doing Purdue vs Creighton, etc? Obviously, I didn't understand what a big match I was attending.

As I'm sure you know, she was the up ref tonight. There was a point in the 3rd set that the line judge signaled 'touch' against Wisconsin, and she just looked over, shook her head 'no' and signaled point Wisconsin.
