On a Wednesday night, for a single match? Because it's five or so hours each way, mid-week. Why WOULDN'T they fly? if it takes you five hours to get to Mpls from Madison you’re doing something wrong. It usually takes me just shy of 4 hours. If I gave you a ride to the airport and then drove myself, I’d only be about 45 minutes behind you if we were to meet in Minneapolis. I’d much rather drive this trip than fly it. It just really doesn’t save much time to fly, and when driving you don’t have to deal with any of the airport histrionics. It also allows more flexibility for what time to leave after the match is over. Are there even any nighttime flights to Madison? A chartered flight would be a silly waste of money for this distance; and a commercial flight adds in too much stress and coordination to save an hour, when hopping on a bus will also be less disruptive to the athletes. What speed are you going? Under 4 hours, really? |

They flew. Frabklin's instagram had a photo. I'm sure it was a chartered flight. They charter in conference season. And I think it is everywhere but Chicago. They have not flown commercial in season in some time. |

ESPN Madison breaking up a bit and jumping. I had to reset my router, but I don't think it's my system. I can't summarize as a result.
Good interviews with Devyn and Annemarie though.

They have not flown commercial in season in some time. Not unreasonable. Getting a block of 30-ish seats on a scheduled flight is more than 30x the cost of a single ticket purchased early. |
