Nice win, Oregon- good luck the rest of the way! You might be the purest person on VT and I appreciate you so much. <3 You are too kind, friend, but thank you for the nice words! The feeling is mutual : )

What will Illinois look like without Terry next year? Yikes Imagine Wisconsin without Franklin right now

Saw this game live. Ducks played great. Great digging, some good service runs, Cline's dumps on two were great, and great blocking. Ohwobete played well in many areas. Ill basically only has Terry as a weapon, and her serve receive isn't great. Ill will struggle against teams who can block well on the pins, as there isn't much middle production, partly due to their poor passing. They do have a couple of strong servers though, and that is what kept close in the 2nd.

Crazy how many triple blocks ORE was able to put up against Raina. Have to forget about this and go win at UW.

Crazy how many triple blocks ORE was able to put up against Raina. Have to forget about this and go win at UW. Ducks served well, and often Ill was left with not many setting options, thus being able to set up blocks. Ill middles were a non-factor today for the most part.

We had options in the middle and didnt use them. Same as last year. Teams just camped put on Raina. Brooke needs to attack on 2 a whole lot more.

Didn't always feel comfortable because of some shank streaks and because Terry went for 5+ Kps and 4 aces, but ended up 75-56 and .318-.099. Nice bounceback from Cline in set 3, and a very good balanced performance from the team. Just need to keep shrinking the lapse periods. We are not where we need to be for November, but you can see things coming together and the consistency growing. Onward! Definitely seeing improvement throughout the season and confidence growing. Lapse's do seem shorter and some good fight! Love seeing Daley and Colby looking strong in their roles! Let's get another one tomorrow for Stomp Out Cancer night and Team Oli!

Good luck Ducks, you looked composed and while each team made errors, ours were far more junior than they should be. I think the Ducks will be a force this season and happy to have you in the Biggie.

Great job tonight ducks, I was a little bit worried that it was going to go to four or five when we started to have lapses and kept making mistakes. It was so fun to see Raina Terry in person, she can absolutely smash the ball and her serve seems like a terror. I was a little bit confused about Illinois setting… It seemed like sometimes they had another setter come in the back row and set for one or two rotations, but she didn’t play all the way across the back row? I don’t watch Illinois much, is one of their regular starters hurt?

I think they have Reilly (Bergen Reilly's sister) subs for one middle blocker (Bohm?) and sets for a couple of rotations when Mosher is in the front row (so she can hit as well). Not a regular 5-2 but kind of like that to try to have three hitters in the front row as much as they can.

I know for sure Reilly came in to set 1-2 rotations during the third set. But then she subbed out and a DS came in and played the rest of the back row. And it wasn’t consistent, so I also was confused. I think most of the time Mosher set, but I definitely remember her stacking with another setter at one point in the 3rd when she was front row. Looks like it happened in set 2 also. I have no idea how to post a twitter link on here so apologies if this doesn’t work: x.com/illinivball/status/1839867610936053995?s=46&t=U5UIhSyIqmJVjbeEpCABHQ
