Losses are part of your resume. I have no issue with Nebraska ahead of Penn State or vice versa. Both have lost a game. Loss to at SMU is worse than loss to at Pitt but SMU is also ranked. Wins against 3 of the top 6 and 6 of the top 16 significantly outweighs the difference in losses. PSU has been great, but the question that was asked was what is ranking Nebraska ahead of PSU based on. The answer is resume. Whereas the justification for PSU over Nebraska was the eye test. I'm aware. Losing on the road to the No. 1 team in the country that hasn't lost a set all year is not as bad as getting swept by SMU. I think I would probably rank Nebraska ahead of Penn State at this point, but I don't think it's ridiculous that another pollster chose to do the opposite.

PSU has wins at home against Louisville, at Tennessee, and at Kentucky. That's it. Nebraska has wins at a "neutral" game against Kentucky in Kentucky, at home against TCU, Creighton, Arizona State, and Stanford, and just swept Louisville at Louisville. Yes they laid an egg against SMU but at some point the resume needs to outweigh the eye test. do you want me to get you a slot on the voting committee? Because I can talk to the organizers. If not this year, then next year! I was just answering the question you posed. And then you get up in arms when the question is answered,

Why is Louisville being ranked below Creighton when they won the H2H? Because they have a better resume, been a better team so far this year.

Whoever gave Stanford a first place vote needs to be taken out….. Pitt should have been a unanimous No. 1. I don't understand voting for anyone else, whether it's Stanford or Nebraska.

Purdue at 3.... Seriously what are people doing that's also unforgivable lol. Stanford at 1 and Purde at 3 are just NOT defendable and I don't understand why people even vote to submit BS like that lol Sorry, that was another typing error on my part that has now been corrected. The high for Purdue was actually #4, but the interesting thing is on that same ballot that had Purdue #4 Stanford was #1 and Nebraska #6. LMAO

Seems to me - Pittsburgh is a great team right now. Nebraska may be fairly close. Then after that - there is at least 15 teams that could seriously compete in December crossing several conferences. This kind of looks like more parity than usual to me.

There are no rules to the poll. The creator of the poll has made that very clear. They don’t exclude ballots unless sent in too late
