How tf does Beaven miss that chop down the line by DeBeer? Mary, that was clocking. Because she is slow and also just so mid.

Stanford looks terrible. I question hambly as a coach who can get his team to max. He was lucky he landed plummer and that class to pull his title.
He isn't coaching these.kids up.

How would a 5-1 be better? We have two strong opposites in Robins and Diaz, and neither setter is a strong enough blocker to play 6 rotations. With this lineup I don’t see how the 6-2 isn’t preferable. Their serve recieve has been picked apart by PSU and Nebraska. Being able to use a DS sub for 3 rotations for the opposite would help when Debeer and Luper have passing trouble. One setter allows for a more consistent connection and imo Cabello is better than Glock. All this. The continuity in the setting connection will be key. Plus, I like Reese a tad bit better at the opposite position than Sofia as an attacker/blocker.

Idk why Hambly hasn’t played Cawa more that would at least help them solve one of their problems

I was thinking this too. Not to bash on Hambly but his version of the Cardinal can have some wild swings in the quality of their play, especially in regional finals.

Sofia is versatile and can sub at OH if needed as well.

Yes, they might need that in case Luper or DeBeer are hurt or just struggling. Ugh! I love 5-1s!

Was hambly a good hire for Stanford? 🤔 Literally no one who knows him thinks that Hambly has a great VB mind. His appeal for Stanford was in his demeanor, which some thought would be sufficient to maintain Stanford’s recruiting edge. His players literally do not improve much at all during their time with him as coach. I agree with this. He stalled his kids at Illinois as well.
