This is the final match of Baylor's homestand, where they have played 11 of their 12 matches in the Ferrell Center. They have only played one road match against Rice and their next road match is against TCU in Fort Worth, meaning Baylor hasn't had to leave the state of Texas in their first 14 matches. They'll go to Utah for two matches (BYU/UU) and then return for 7 more in Texas (5 of them in Waco + @ Houston, @ TTU).

Bibinbe and JBF hadn’t been connecting very well on slides earlier in the season, but now Bibinbe has been transitioning to the right pin over the last few matches. Very similar to how UK used Tealer. She seems a lot more comfortable and efficient hitting from the pin straight on, so seems to have been a good change by the coaching staff.

Baylor was up 15-11 but ASU goes on a 6-0 run to take the 16-15 lead behind a couple of Claire Jeter aces. Timeout Baylor.

Shania passing in the middle back is not going well, shaky enough covering her own spot let alone helping Ung out. Bad news is we are playing pretty bad, good news is we’re somehow keeping it close. Shania hitting negative .600 is killing us too. Court positioning overall is leaving gaping holes. Now I’m just rambling as I watch. I would not describe this so far as “poised”. Sigh.

Bears take the first 25-21, hitting .222. Cromartie's 5 hitting errors killed ASU in the 1st.
