I would sign up for Creighton's regional right now. As for Nebraska, send madi skinner elsewhere please. I am VERY uninterested in that rematch, thank you!

Tonight:
USC at Oregon is a big match tonight. Both want to host 1st/2nd rounds.
UCLA at Washington is interesting. UCLA needs it more.
Texas A&M at Ole Miss - the Rebels would move to "in" on this edition theoretically if they win.
Arizona at Arizona State - Big rivalry match, but maybe we can start talking about Arizona as a potential tournament team if they can pull it off. Important match for ASU not to lose in terms of hosting.
SMU at Pitt - On paper, if SMU won out, they are a regional host. I feel like around this time of year, can't count anything out. But in reality, I don't think this match will matter too much. Pitt can afford some losses, and SMU has too much work to do really to get a regional seed. I think this just help ensure they get a "next best" seed after the regional hosts if they win.

Choosing Baylor over TCU seems strange when TCU has a better futures and at the moment a H2H win

Kansas, K-State and Missouri would be so jealous of Colorado St for getting the annual trip to the Lincoln Sub-regional.

Choosing Baylor over TCU seems strange when TCU has a better futures and at the moment a H2H win Meh.. you can go any direction on Baylor/TCU/Arizona State and it wouldn't be wrong in my opinion. TCU beat Baylor 3-1 at home ASU swept TCU in Fort Worth Baylor beat ASU 3-1 in Waco Right now - Baylor/TCU both have 1T25 win, Baylor has an extra T50 win (4 to TCU's 3). I think the re-match winner will have the leg up. Given that it's in Waco, I'd favor Baylor ever so slightly. For this edition - I almost had both of them as Top 16 seeds. But, I gave it to Auburn instead, and imagine one of them plays themselves out?

If I provide a write-up of key notes/comments, I'll edit it into this post. With some requests for a bracket, I just wanted to get something out for now. Expect more to come. Feel free to ask any questions and I'll answer them. Thanks so much! If you get time, can you do a breakdown of # by conference?

Some of my biggest question marks (paging bluepenquin): -SEC bubble hosts and bubble at-larges. I’m less than impressed with what the SEC did in the non-conference, but so many wins and bonus points against each other are going to compile? -Dayton … what seed do they get even with winning out? -Virginia … that awful non-conference is killing them. How much will it take to overcome that? -I was grasping at straws when it came to the 8-seeds. There are a lack of good wins currently. -Miami-FL could really be flirting with danger, it’ll be interesting if the committee is willing to go deep RPI digging if Miami really ends up in trouble.

Oh yay! What a happy hump day surprise. I was just thinking about bracketology last night.
First thought: we really deserve a regional with a Nebraska and Texas rematch.

Hawaii is really a wildcard. I’m not sure where they’ll end up. They’re incredibly inconsistent. I do know that Caylen Alexander is one of the best Oh’s in the entire country but she needs help from her teammates. It’s really a toss up between her getting help or her shoulder falling off.

Of course they’d both probably be in much better position had they pulled off the win over Wisconsin.
